Great bags, they hold a ton!
LOVE these garbage bags! Normally when I shop o Amazon Prime, I only go for products with Prime shipping, or at least FREE shipping. But when I saw the amount of recycling bags for the price (*45* 13 gallon bags for 9.79 plus shipping) I knew I had to buy them. Here in NYC, you get a hefty fine if you don't recycle..... Yet many stores don't sell recycling bags! What kind of sense does that make?! I don't know. So I usually purchase my bags from BJ's. I didn't have a trip planned there and I needed bags, so I decided to check here. I'm glad that I did! The Glad brand of the recycling and trash bags are by far my favorite. They don't tear easily and they hold a TON of stuff! You really can't beat this price and they are well worth more. Very happy with this purchase and I plan to purchase them here from now on.

Great Blue Recycling Bags For Glass, Plastics, And Cardboard
Recycling in New York City is the law. A majority of people and companies do it, otherwise you will get fined if certain things that can be recycled aren't put in the appropriate colored bags. I use this blue recycling for recycling my glass/plastics in one bin, and my paper/cardboard products in another bin. The blue is blue as it should be to indicate there are recyclable contents inside. You can see through the plastic as to what is being recycled, and the thickness of the bags is thin and strong enough to contain heavy glass, or sharp cardboard corners, without ripping. When the bag is full, the red straps at the opening can be cinched and tied closed. These are great recycling bags. Recommended.

Best recycling bags
These bags are great. They are see-through so the garbage men leave them for the recycling men. Ie, they can be clearly differentiated at a glance. They also appear to be sturdy, although I haven't tried adding more than a few kilos of glass to them. I'm sure they would hold up fine. The addition of the drawstrings are clutch, and you don't realize how much you miss them until you're using generic knock-off trashbags and cursing the universe. They fit perfectly inside my SimpleHuman trash can.

Durable, perfect for handling recyclables.
My complex started doing recycling pick up at our doors but required that we put it in blue recyclable bags. I could not find any in my local stores. My first thought when I got these is that they are thin and if I filled them up with bottles there was no way I was going to be able to move a full bag without it ripping. I was totally wrong. In fact these are stronger than my regular black trash bags and the seams are tight enough that they don't leak. (I mean I'm sure they would if you filled them with water, but they're absolutely good enough for soda bottles and things that have some residue in them.) They hold flattened cardboard boxes ok, but they're not meant for that and the corners will break through if the boxes stretch out the sides. 45 bags is a lot so one box lasts me over a year with it taking my recycling out every 2 weeks or so, and really the price is not much different than regular trash bags, so they're a good deal in that respect.

Good quality bag, but the drawstring makes me a little crazy.
the bags are durable, but the drawstring at the top isn't elastic so it won't stay tightly around the top of the trashcan. It's a bit annoying to have to constantly put it back over the top of the can every time I push the trash down.

Perfect!
Exactly what I was looking for: a blue, 13-gallon drawstring bag for recyclables. It fits perfectly in my recycling can and makes it easy to make sure trash and recyclables are kept separate. I haven't had any issues with punctures, tears, or holes. Works great for small items like shredded paper all the way to much larger sized items.

They're great. Why can't I buy these in stores?
I enrolled in my local recycling program, and they gave me this giant blue clunker laundry-basket thing that's cumbersome to carry. They also gave me a GIANT box of ridiculous blue bags which all come apart when I get one out the stack and which don't fit any trash can I own LOLOL I seriously felt like I enrolled in some Communist program where I couldn't pick the bin I own nor the bags I received. My government recycling bags kept falling out of my pantry closet and hitting me in the head. So I went to home-depot to get a tall blue recycling trash-can and bought these bags on Amazon. The tall recycling bin fits neatly in my pantry-closet next to my other tall-trash can, and Glad's recycling bag-box fits neatly behind the other tall-trash can box. I use a separate trash can for paper in the home- office. It's all good now. My house functions again, and my recycling was accepted. I'm upset that I can't find these Glad bags in local stores though. Since it's an 'add on' product, I had to buy extra products from Amazon to get them shipped. It seems like Home Depot or Lowes should have these bags since they sell the tall recycling trash cans.

These bags are the perfect supplement to help us utilize our recycling services while ...
We have two service provided recycling bins. However, we often have more recycling than fits in the bins. Also, we tend to have breezes or winds that will blow the empty plastic bottles and/or papers out of the bins. These bags are the perfect supplement to help us utilize our recycling services while keeping our recycling in our own bins (instead of blowing down the street). The services recognize these bags as recycling and will take them...we've used other trash bags before than they have left them behind thinging they were trash. So, these are great!!!
