Must be broken in to appreciate
My 3rd pair. Give them a few miles to break in and they are great. You have to break them in. Otherwise if i reviewed off the first few times wearing them, probably a three star. They are pretty stiff brand new. But very comfortable (after breakinf them in) waterproof, great grip. Classy look. Looks good in jeans or dress pants. I just threw out my first pair after 6 years. Wore them every day to work at the office. The soles never had holes. The interior had a few spots of wear. I am hard on my shoes. I climb a lot of stairs for exercise every day at work, and these were what i wore. Used them for shallow snow shoveling (yes I shoveled in dress shoes and sweats). I will buy again when these current ones are thrown away. I have both a black and brown pair. Both are fantastic

Dunham Dress Shoe (NewBalance)
I have been purchasing Dunham NewBalance dress shoes for over ten years. These are perfect for the business man or my student with larger feet who needs dress shoes (prom, graduation, school performances, wedding, work, a nicer shoe). My men have wider feet 11.5 5E - 14 2E and walking around for lengthier times, business travel, etc. they (3) have shared that these shoes are more comfortable, actually all the Dunham shoes are. We have bought the lace up shoes without seams as well. As a wife/mother, I want these guys to have the most comfortable shoe and Dunham has come through for that while looking stylish. My 6'4" football player, wears the 14-2E, and he said "fits like a glove, not too tight and not too loose."

Rockport has ruined the Blair. These are not the same Dunham that new balance made. Unwearable!!!
These shoes are trash compared to the same ones I have purchased in the past. In the past these were tied to the new balance brand. at some point Rockport took over and bow make these shoes. ROCKPORT had completely changed the shoe and cheapened them up. I wore my new pair for two weeks and I have blisters on the back of my heals. This is my fourth pair of Dunham Blair shoes (in the last 6 years) and I feel like my perspective on these shoes are from a big fan with thousands of hours wearing them. The first pair I put on, I felt like I was wearing an athletic shoe. They were sooo comfortable, and every pair since has felt the exact same (until my new pair, same exact model of shoe - the Blair) In comparison the leather on the new pair feels almost fake (plastic like) and cheap. The older pairs I’ve owned the leather was very nice and soft like a second skin. The new pair have almost no padding around the top above the heal and ankle. This has caused me a lot of pain. They rub my heal through my socks and are causing blisters and pain. After one full weekend of heavy use I stopped wearing my new pair. I have never had to break in the previous shoes, they were ready to go out of the box, this pair I was thinking that maybe after a few days they would break in (I tried to give them a chance) they have not gotten any better. I live in my work shoes. Comfort is the most important reason I chose the Blair Dunham shoes.. unfortunately this is no longer the same shoe as of March 2021. I ask anyone who once enjoyed this shoe to look elsewhere. I used to be the biggest fan. Sorry to see that new ownership has ruined these shoes.

Somewhat large
UPDATE: 3/27/14Amazon contacted me and honored the discount so I repurchased these shoes in size 8.5 which fit better. I also purchased the Dillion shoes in the same size but the Dillion has a larger opening which made the shoe slip out more. I've owned these shoes now for about 1 month and can comment that they are very light weight and comfortable. They aren't as comfortable as a sneakers but I am starting to doubt I can find one that will feel like sneakers. I believe it has something to do with the leather top which you need as a dress shoe. The Leather has developed small creases around the toe area and time will tell if it becomes worse or not.I polished the shoe twice which gives it a nice shine, but you do notice the soles more since they can't be shined, which was why I wanted the Dillion shoes for the smaller soles. So far I am impressed with the comfort and there was no need to replace the inserts. I wear them in an office environment and haven't felt the need to take them off like I did with my Rockports. I've changed my review from 3 stars to 4 stars since I've had more time to review them. I can't comment on durability which is what keeps me from giving it a 5 star rating.*******************************************************************************************************I am on a quest to find comfortable dress shoes and I was hoping that I had found them with Dunham shoes. These pair were comfortable and lightweight, however I only got the chance to wear them for 5 minutes. During that time I was impressed with the comfort and thought they were better than my Rockports I bought 2 years ago and the Clarks I tried before ordering these. I typically wear size 10-11 sneakers and ordered these in size 9. My heel area was loose and since these were slip on shoes I was afraid they would either fall off our cause me to trip if I ran. I wanted to exchange them for size 8.5 but I could not. I wanted to give a higher rating but since I did not have them for long term I can only give it 3 stars.I actually bought 2 pairs of different Dunham shoes (these and the Dillion) since they were on sale. They would only allow the option to return and not exchange. I spoke to Customer Support and they said I can only return both pairs of shoes and order a new pair which meant I would lose my promotion; I asked Customer Support if I should have ordered 3 different pairs around my size to make sure I found one that fit and then return the ones that don't...the answer was that it was one solution. So I guess the lesson is if any shoes on amazon are on sale order multiple pairs so you don't have to deal with losing your promotion. I really wanted to get a good pair of shoes but I won't order them at full price since I know I can get them at a discount. The other lesson from this is that it is better to buy shoes from the local store so you don't have to deal with the hassle of returns and not knowing which shoes don't fit.I may hunt these pairs of shoes down at the local department stores if they are on sale and will come back to revise my review.

Thank you for making larger shoes!!!
As a tall adult at 6'9" its very hard to find shoes that fit. Most brick and mortar stores have nothing that fits.Dunhams are high quality with reasonable pricing.Thank you for taking care of us larger people!!!

Nice looking but a bit too tight.
I like the look of the shoe; it has a smooth leather upper that looks dressier than the casual look of some of the other styles. The shoe has rubber soles and is pretty light weight. The fit is a bit tighter than some other Dunham, New Balance, and Sketchers shoes I have int the same size. The top of the shoe (tongue) goes up pretty high and the elastic gore maintains a lot of pressure, so I find it cuts into my foot in that area. Because of this, I haven't been able to wear them very long. I'm hoping that once they are broken in they will have stretched out enough to be more comfortable.
