Audio-Technica Microphone Windscreen (AT8153)

We use a nice mic at our church but someone took the original screen filter. I had purchased a generic wind filter but had lots of pops so I kept the bass turned down on the mixer in an effort to control it. I then saw there were filters for pops. but not for small electret mics until I saw this one. It stated that it was a pop filter so I purchased it. I was skeptical when I tried testing it for pops but I have to say I've used it for a couple of weeks now and have had no pops. Happily Surprised

Purchased this windscreen to replace one that went missing during an event. It fits the microphone nicely and does the job, but is fairly expensive for what it is. Were the price more appropriate for a piece of foam, I'd give it 5 stars.

This is the exact replacement for the one our church had that got damaged. Very worthwhile purchase.

If you have ever taken the windscreen off of one of the Audio-Technica Gooseneck Condenser series of microphones then you know that a windscreen is essential to reduce and/or eliminate popping. This windscreen does a great job acoustically. The windscreen is thick and well constructed. There is more engineering in this little windscreen then you might think. I've tried other replacement windscreens for these type of microphones and there really is no comparison. Other windscreens reduced the popping to varying degrees but did not eliminate the popping. This windscreen pretty much eliminates all popping except for rare occasions (assuming your levels are set correctly).

Reduces plosives well. Our church hast two Audio Technica condenser microphones that needed these. Being designated as made for themicrophone series we have is what helped make decision to purchase.

Exactly what we needed. We had mic screens in poor condition that we replaced.
