What a terrific fun game. Tickled I bought this & the regular game. Got them both on a killer Amazon Lightning Deal!
This game is for 4-players or more, yet 2 people can practice playing it. I actually got three, yet one honestly didn't have the glow disc...so thought, do I really need three? So sent back the one without the disc. I studied the tape on the package and it wasn't over taped, meaning it didn't look tampered with. I say this because I see others have claimed no flying disc in theirs either. So, I don't believe internal theft and this is a production error. There's two sets of instructions. One is the old-style where you wrapped the "Kans" with a glow paper. I'm super happy they updated this unit. Ok, first off you need to take the Kans out and flatten them. You peel off the Kan Jam large sticker and when your cans are flat you place the stickers right above the 'Instant Winner' slot. As you can see from the box it doesn't show any cans with the Kan-Jam stickers and it's actually a shame because it makes the Kans stand out much better in the daylight. So glad the stickers came with it, plus if you get a little wrinkle in the sticker it really doesn't show or affect the look or glow. However once stuck on it isn't coming back off without ripping it up. Now you got your Kans labeled, the next step is to connect the back. How tough can it be. Well, it's very tough, not in the sense of brain power... more like putting one of those carnival basketballs through the carnies hoop. Barely fits and that's twisting and working the tabs back & forth. I thought I might have to get out my razor knife and shave off just a bit of the hole yet I finally got it on. Ok, there's your Kans, now you open your bag of glow lights and remote control, you'll need AAA batteries. Three batteries in each glow light. You just peel the sticker and attach the glow light towards the bottom of the can, turn it on and with your remote pick whatever color you like. I like Blue, she liked red. The flying disc or let's just call it a Frisbee, even though it's stronger and thicker than a standard Frisbee, instruction reads a user should hold it under a light for 2-minutes. It has a light attached to it with it's own battery just twist and on it goes. Slick looking green-lighted Frisbee. The cool thing is the light under the Frisbee is attached by Velcro as well. So you just remove that to play this game in the day time. We fired it up and man really looked great. Sent Snapchat pics of it to my friends & family and they thought it was cool too. Frisbee hit the Kan over & over and it never once turned off on me. These improvements make this a great buy. Only two areas I feel Kan-Jam should address. #1. Somehow make the connections on the Kans easier in the back & #2. All three of mine came in the exact box they have pictured here & they weren't wrapped or within another box. UPS delivered two in very good shape(but sent one back missing flying disc) and the third came FedEx Express that was mangled but the contents were all there and in good shape. So wrap it or double box it to be shipped out, not only would that protect the product but eliminates any gift receivers seeing what they got prior to receiving it. Under $50. I give Kan Jam Illuminate Glow Game Two Thumbs Up, WAY UP!!! :)

"Now it is done. Now the story ends. And there is no way to tell it. The art of fiction is dead."
It happened on a day on the sandy shores of Fire Island. Water as refreshingly cool as drinking from a melting Greenland glacier. The sun will dry you off quicker than a bathroom air blower. A group of friends gathered, imbibed, laughed, joked, and played. And what did we play? Kan Jam, the game of champions. And what happened? A merciless battle between two evenly matched teams, consisting of 4 overtimes, ended with a brutally succinct Slotting (the Kan Jam equivalent of a text message break up). This might mean nothing to you now, but play Kan Jam, and you too will know the decadent endorphin spikes of an intense Kan Jam match. Kan Jam is simple. Made (I think) by two friends trying to making a game they could play while drinking, Kan Jam involves two trash can like bins that are placed 40 feet away. Each Kan has a slot in the middle and is open on the top on both sides. Teams of two, with a member standing behind each Kan, seek to defeat their opponents. A volley starts by a team member tossing a frisbee towards the opposing Kan. There are several ways to score. Hitting the Kan outright scores 2. Having your teammate deflect the frisbee against the outside of the Kan scores 1. Having your teammate Jam the frisbee into the top of the Kan scores 3. If you throw the frisbee right through the slot (aka you "slot it") or if you land the Frisbee directly down the chimney without anyone touching it....then it's game over. Frisbee then moves to the next thrower, and so on and so on. Game to 21. If you go over 21, you head back to 15. Having played sudden death a few ways, the best/most fun way I find is to do College Football style. Each person gets one toss. Highest score after those 4 tosses wins. In case of tie, it goes to double OT, triple OT.....This amplifies pressure to almost unbearable levels. It's a great concept and game play is awesome...you will have teammates diving around to deflect or Jam frisbees, it is fast moving and never boring. But the Insta-Win....there's the rub. What a tricky suspenseful thing to be able to win or lose at any moment. Is this what it felt like to walk the rubble strewn streets of Stalingrad, with enemy snipers roosting in every shadow filled crater? That any moment could be your last? That you must make this toss or this Jam count? Kan Jam separates itself from every lawn game and most drinking game. It is simple to learn and tough to master. But when you see skill, you know it. Real recognize real, and real skill shows itself readily on the Kan Jam field. Even still - two Ultimate Frisbee playing veterans can lose to a team of amateurs, because of the Unholy Witchcraft of the Slot. The very rules that constrain the game give birth to a majestic ambiguity; the Slot frees the plebeian. What did Alexander think as he stared across a field of fleeing Persians? What thoughts crossed the mind of the irrepressible Zhukov on the icy outskirts of Berlin? Victory is fleeting, golden sunshine peering through a blanket of clouds. Grasped but for a moment, seen for a second, an ape like figure retreating into the wilderness. What thoughts cross their minds, these heroes, these glorious victors? Victory can be had. Kan Jam is not for the autocratic blue bloods. Kan Jam elevates the snipers, the deflection physicists, the lucky. Anyone can play. Anyone can win. The art of fiction is dead. Kan Jam is alive.

So much fun!
We take this camping and use it often. It's like cornhole and Frisbee golf rolled into one. The lights make it look even better and mean you can play it in the dark. The cans don't fold, but they roll well. It's portable and easy to pack with you if you have a little extra space. It's also very lightweight and durable. Undoing and redoing them hasn't seemed to effect the tabs yet

Great as intended but kids other creative uses might be a little scar
So ultimately the game was simple, fun and a great compliment to a recreation day at an Elementary School. We bought the seperate smaller discs for the set that seemed to be easier and more fun than the large frisbee provided for young children. It seems the adults had just as much fun when actually playing the game. The set was easy to put together, worked well in a small playground. However I purchased this for a free play area for a school event and did not organize a structured game--bad move on my part. When you have 50 plus kids from preschool to 7th grade together with supervision but no instruction (no organized game) it is like a product test lab of ways it can fail you. I put this to a test with a group that was at school at an event with their parents--this school is a magnet type school so it was not exactly the roughest group of kids you ever want to meet but....you would be amazed at how many ways that this product can be a danger. I know..I sat there and watched and was the big meanie saying NO to sitting in the can like it was a stool, putting the feet in slits and trying to kick it at another child, trying to roll down the hill in a can, trying to sumu wrestle with two kids inside. Needless to say there are tons of creative uses for this game that will end up with an emergency room trip and stitches if nobody is watching. If you send a bunch of six and seven year old kids to play this in the backyard and look a way for a bit --you might not see the "creative" uses for this toy that I witnessed in advance....

Good for yard games
Great game, seems pretty durable. It is smaller than I expected but I haven’t played it in a while to remember. The box was not shipped inside an Amazon box so the game box was scratched up.

Fun Game for All Ages
Super easy to set up and always a hit at parties or the beach. The discs fly well and the LED version is awesome at night. Great mix of casual fun and competition.
