Discrete and awesome !!!
Ive been using the Basic Plugfones for a year and 4months. Recently I noticed the volume was getting lower, speakers must have worn out. So I ordered the Endurance Plugfones this time, just got them today and I was amazed at the sound quality and volume level. Im looking forward to using them at work next week. We are not allowed to wear head phones or ear buds. These look just like the OSHA plugs that everyone else wears so no one has a clue. Its great to be able to listen to music, podcasts and talk radio to help pass the time.

These are GREAT headphones!
First things first, of course when you are working and using these on a very regular basis, they will wear out and they will start to break. I dont know why people expect $16 ear buds to last forever even after daily use and being used in work environments. Chances are that if you need ear plugs, you are working in a place that requires physical labor or using machinery and alot of things can happen.I work in a production plant and I bought these headphones to blend in at work and so far, speaking face to face with my supervisor and also the plant manager with these in and music playing, they were both oblivious to their true purpose. I also bought these since they were the cheapest option and i wanted to see if the bluetooth pair would be an investment that id like to take. So far, that answer is yes. These headphones sound great, and with them being 50% “earplugs”, i can use these at low volumes while being able to hear the music clearly with minimal background noise. The materials used for these headphones are nice and silky soft rubber which are super comfortable and can be worn for hours without becoming uncomfortable or irritating. They also come with foam tips, but i havent used them because i feel like they would get dirty very quickly. I use these with the Apekx bluetooth adapter which is also very convenient and sleek, but thats for a different review. These headphones do not have a microphone or volume controller on them, but you get what you pay for. These are basic headphones without any bells and whistles but they are also made of great materials with great sound quality and they do a great job of drowning out the background noise. They come with a convenient carrying case which is good for prolonging the lifespan of these headphones. These were a great purchase and i will be buying the bluetooth pair.

great earbuds, with a big problem
I bought these to wear at work. They work really well and sound great, but they are not built well.Pros:They look exactly like the ear protection that my job requires, but they are earbuds so I can listen to videos and podcasts to make my workday less boring. They are comfortable, so wearing them for the whole day is not a problem. They sound surprisingly good. They come with a handy plastic carrying case for storage.Cons:There is really only one - they are not built well. For a product that is intended for a work environment they are very fragile. This pair only lasted me 16 days at work.I don't beat on them, and the cord is run under my shirt so it does not hang or catch on things. But the cord does bend where it connects to the plug. After 14 days I had to add tape to get a signal in both channels, and a couple days later they did not work at all.Overall:Being able to listen to earbuds while I work is worth the expense to me.Except for the durability issue I really like these, and I have ordered 2 more pairs of the cheaper model because it has a 90° angle at the plug, plus I will add tape at the beginning so there won't be a flexing issue.

What a nice surprise!
I bought 3 low-cost wired earbuds, including the Plug Fones, on Black Friday as a future backup unit to my more expensive (yet relatively fragile) stereo ear buds that are more expensive to maintain. The first two wired earbuds were garbage sounding and did not fit my ears well. Then I tried the Plug Fones on, and boy was I pleasantly surprised! My sensitive ear canals did not ache, even after 1.5 hours of use, and for this price range, the sound quality was "decent." As you might expect, the low-end is not prominent, however the mids and trebles were not super "tinny" -- they sounded good-- which I was honestly not expecting at this price.I did feel the slight noise reduction with these in my ear canals, as well.I tested these buds on the road on two different motorcycles, one with a wind spoiler on top of the windshield and one without, at speeds up to 70mph. Obviously, with the wind spoiler or at speeds lower than 55, the sound was an improved and it degraded a bit without the spoiler closer to 70mph, but still "doable" for this market level.I had read reviews about construction workers using these, as well as these being plugged into radios. I can imagine that these units will have pretty good results for those folks, based on my comparative engine droning of the bikes. For the money, I have yet to find a better set of sound plugs! Two thumbs way up for the price!Note: I used only the foam inserts, not the cones.
