Sony D-EJ001 CD Walkman (Blue)

When my beloved Sony Discman started to die of old age, I discovered that apparently Sony Discmans are no longer manufactured . So I tried another brand, but with great disappointment. Luckily I was able to purchase a USED Sony Discman . She plays like brand new ! NO problems ! There is world of difference with Sony , for example if I turn it off after track 6, it will start back with track 7. Wow ! Amazing.

Looks aren't everything. But having a charger or earphones would be better.

This player is 20-30 bucks cheaper than the previous generation Sony CD Walkman (D-E350) with identical features. It looks it.The previous player was manufactured in Japan; this one is made in China. Only a hair smaller and lighter than the earlier player, this one lacks the upward-facing, finger-friendly chrome buttons. They're plastic and all but inaccessible and invisible on the player's lower, inward-slanting surface. The read-out window on the previous model was not only larger and marked more clearly but was readable from top-side; the only way to read the window on the current model is to hold the player close to your face and at eye level or higher (I'd planned to use the player in the bathroom. Not a good idea unless your toilet tank is at least 6').As for the advertised "reduced" price, don't buy it: it's being advertised for the same price and postage-free on the Sony site.Notwithstanding all of the reservations expressed above, I was prepared to allow this mass-produced piece of plastic to impress me with pure performance. Three CD's and three "no disc" readings. It goes back to Amazon. Good thing it's light.

I purchased this product for myself and my husband to take with us when we walk or fish or whatever. The first time I used it I was so impressed with it, it didn't skip then shut down, it kept right on.One of the best things I like about it is, if you have to turned it off for some reason, it picks up right where you left of instead of having to go through the whole CD again to get there. This is a wonderful thing to me as I do audio books, now I can just close it like a book and open it back to the spot I left it on.Thanks so much. J L Hunter

This Walkman works well for me. It is the second one, just like this, that I own. It plays well, the batteries last a long time, the sound is big... Sometimes I plug it into external speakers and it sounds really great! I am really happy with this purchase

Well, this walkman is cheap. What else can you expect?To say honestly, the quality of sound is still very good.However, left side and right side is not a perfect balance.Maybe it is the earphone's problemBut I have measure the resistance, they are the same.So I am really curious now.

The Walkman is in good cosmetic conditions but when I move around the disc gets stuck inside and stops working and you have to start the disc from.the begining...

The lid opens in an awkward way so that's it's hard to change the batteries. Other than that it's great.
