Sealy Baby Ultra Rest Mattress (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

My husband and I were looking around for mattresses but we were not sure what to look for. We read alot of reviews on amazon and noticed alot of people talking about how having a firm mattress is what you want. So we looked at a few different ones and decided on this one.We purchased the creations "Kendall" 4 in 1 crib. Some of the reviews on here were talking about how there was a gap between the mattress and the sides of the crib. I just received our mattress today and put it in the crib and it fits PERFECTLY!! There are no gaps at all. I ordered the mattress about 3 days ago and it already came. I ordered it using the super saver shipping which says 7-9 days for delivery but i always use super saver shipping through amazon and always get my orders within a few days. The box was in good shape when it arrived and the mattress was in excellant condition.The mattress is waterproof but doesnt make a plasticy noise when you touch it or press on it. It is firm but yet is still soft enough to comfort baby. Some people said a 15 yr warranty and i read someone say 30 yr warranty but the sticker on the mattress says 20 yr warranty so just wanted to clear that up. I would reccommend this mattress for sure. This is a pretty sturdy mattress for a good price on Amazon. I don't see why you would need anything more expensive. It's firm and fits our Baby Italia crib snugly. Baby doesn't arrive for a few more weeks, so I can speak to how well he likes it. But, we like the water proof cover, so we don't need to put a mattress pad on top of it and under the sheet. The springs/bolts on our crib's mattress platform do snag on the mattress and we've already put a few very small tears into the mattress though.

I bought this crib mattress for two of our 20 month old's cribs (one at our home, another at her grandparents). With daily use, our lightweight (23 lb) toddler has slept on this mattress at our home. Over the course of 20 months, it went from a nice, firm mattress, to a soft, weak one with what we like to call a "dip" in it. It has in fact, become so soft that it allows a simple roll over in her sleep to cause the entire bed to creak -- clearly not absorbing very much of her movement or body. It's not supportive in the long term at all. It was good in the beginning, but it definitely did NOT hold up. We are now in the market for another mattress...So I can't recommend this crib mattress anymore if one plans to get a minimum of ~2 years out of it. I once gloated about in the beginning of our daughter's life, no more.

We have an Oeuf Sparrow crib and this mattress is clearly too small. I can easily fit 2 hands in between the mattress and the side rail which is a glaring safety hazard. Based on other reviews, this mattress will fit in most cribs but if you have an Oeuf, I strongly recommend you consider other options.Other than being too small, the construction quality seems solid and the firmness seems appropriate for newborns and infants.

It looked very good, and firm (240 coils)when it first came. It fitted very well in my Davinci crib. However, it sinked only after 3 weeks of use. My boy was only 7 bls ?! It sinked about an inch where he slept.

I bought this in September 2009 to use in my daughter's crib a DaVinci Kalani Convertible Crib. It fits snugly in the crib and my daughter sleeps very well on it. I do know have anything else to compare it against but I would recommend to others since my daughter likes it. The mattress is not super hard, has a little softness to it but not too much.Update - Jan 2012, mattress is superior. my daughter is now a very active 2.5 year old and jumps on it nightly and it has held up very well. Great buy, well worth the little bit extra I paid over standard mattress from Sealy.

this is a pretty firm mattress and my baby seems to like it cuz he finally sleeps through the night (at 5 1/2 months) so I'm thinking maybe he just didn't like the porta crib mattress that much. Either way it's a great mattress- firm but comfortable at the same time and comes with a 30 yr warranty.

THe product is great! Truly enjoying downsizing in order to have a second nursery. The only issue I had was that Amazon sent us someone else's order making ours late and we are part of Amazon Prime. They sent our order out again but when it arrived it was NOT packaged well at all. The tape was coming off and they threw the plastic protective wrap on top of the boxes versus around them, making it useless. We have never been disappointed but now may have to think about renewing our subscription to Amazon Prime! The Space Bags are fantastic though! The Jumbo bag holds a WHOLE Rubbermaid Jumbo bin of baby clothes!! Highly recommended.
