Spalding NBA Official Game Ball

Q: I noticed that the gameball being used is different from the one in the picture. The ball is quite smooth and shiny and the grooves are deeper.

The ball is the same ball. The grooves would be the same. The surface may become shinny with use. There is no other option. This is the NBA game basketball. It does not get any better than this!

Q: Is it legit? I bought it and it feels bad and it doesn't seem authentic, really bad quality control too

Its legit. But the one I recieved was used. It had already been played with. Also it takes almost 6 to 7 months to break in. Its genuine leather not composite. Good thing is real leather when wet gets more grip..

Q: Does the official nba basketball have a "official d-league ball" stamp on it because the one i purchased for $140 does have it.

Q: is there a leather conditioner i can use to speed up breakin of my leather ball

I have found out that using a conditioner will make the ball greasy and it takes a while for it to come off. I have used a a very small amount of leather cleaner after time on the court, but mostly I'll just use a touch of warm water on a paper towel to clean and soften up the leather. It really just needs a lot of dribbling and use and to make sure you're wiping off dirt and dust after every couple of uses
