Shadowhunters Season 1 [DVD]

It's true withe his series you either love it for hate it. I really like it. I got into the series after reading the book's and I've got to say it's not half bad. Its cheesy and hammy in place's and there's allot of teenage drama as you'd expect, it doesn't follow the books THAT closely and the actors are very much still finding there way. I honestly kept watching for Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood. there story arc really captured my ignition and I've loved watching their relationship develop as the series has gone on, they truly have grown from strength to strength. They have their share of issues but it's nice to see a couple that actually work on there problems. its not always smooth sailing and there are fights and break ups. BUT and here's the important thing, their relationship is a healthy one built on time and trust and of course love and thats something really positive.The others charters all have their own ups and downs and Clary and Jace as the main staring charters arnt actually that bad. The first season finds everyone still finding their feet with there charters but its worth sticking with, the following two seasons are so much better and thats build on the foundations that season one set.Well worth a watch. it's not rocket science and the plots arnt anything new but its fun and doesn't take itself too seriously and there's plenty of laughs as well as drama to go around. Some of the fighting scenes also should be given their due, they really do go all out and it shows.

My daughter had been going on about this for ages and I was reading the books so I decided to buy these. It got a bit confusing for me as the series does not follow the books, so in the books someone was alive but the series killed them off. My advice is not to do both at the same time. We have watched series 1&2 and are currently waiting for series 3 to be delivered so we've been enjoying them.

Arrived ontime and in great condition

A television remake of the film Immortal Instruments but just not as good.The acting starts off a bit shaky for all the cast but does get slightly better as the show goes on.As everyone else has commented, if you like Twilight etc then you've got a chance of enjoying this but I doubt I'll be getting the next season.

I have only watched one disc, it is great to see the characters from the book, so it wouldn’t be fair of me to do the review, all I can say is the first disc is worth watching.

I absolutely love this series, so happy I've now got it on DVD!! Can't wait for season 2&3!! Wish they would do a season 4, can always wish and hope :)

Bought this for my daughter who is obsessed with both the show & books. She was very happy with it.
