For the price, I couldn't have expected better. Was nervous to purchase at first because of some very negative reviews about it being a piece of crap but I think those people need to remember to keep in mind what they paid for the product when assessing the product. This was a phenomenal deal. It has a built in speaker that's a lot louder than I was expecting, however I prefer to attach the projector with an aux cord to my current home speakers. Also deeefinitely not good for presentations. Strictly home theater. The reason I was motivated to buy a projector is because I just moved into a studio and don't watch too much TV and didn't want to front the money for a decent sized system but wanted something that I could turn on with guests over. Great product!

I still can't use it
I thought this projector would be nice to use since I didn't have a television at the time I purchased it, so I figured I could hook my phone up and watch Netflix or Hulu for a little while but nope. This projector over heats and shuts off in ten minutes, I tried setting it up higher, I tried running it with a fan both over and underneath the projector, I angled it, I hung it up and NOTHING worked.

Made for smaller presentations. .
To be very reasonable.. The price is my favorite part of this buy. It's a fairly decent projector FOR THE PRICE.. but since I wanted to project a bigger size screen (maybe 80inches diagonal?) it was very pixelated.. Since my main audience are all our young kids.. It left me a bit concerned about their eyes.. So I'm going to return it.. I bought the taoleole projector for double the price and am much happier with the quality. And there were no instructions.. But it's not impossible to figure out on your own..

Like suffering through a worn, rental VHS tape stretched to 80 inches
I bought this projector with the aim of watching movies and home videos, streamed from a computer or tablet through HDMI or VGA. None of the reviews were technical enough to be helpful, and stupid me, despite having a horrible feeling about this, at the $48 price range, I figured why not give it a shot.Let me break it down from a slightly more technical viewpoint than "My mom likes it and it has good picture," (as others have said) because a). she doesn't, and b). it does not. The quality is absolutely unacceptable, both in resolution, brightness and color.Resolution: The resolution on this thing is 480x320. For those of you who don't understand, that's 480 pixels/dots accross, and 320 vertical. Just for comparison, most modern computer screens come in at LEAST 720p, which is 1200 pixels accross. That's ALMOST 3 times more pixels. VHS tapes had a resolution of roughly around 480x320, and DVDs have a typical resolution around 700 pixels accross. So the quality of this projector is AT BEST what you would get from a VHS tape. Worse than that, no joke. However, of course, it's not as simple as just that. You watched VHS tapes on CRT televisions, usually between 15 and 30 diagonal inches. Now, this projector can produce an image from 20 inches across to 80 inches across maximum. So to get a realistic picture, imagine taking your grandmother's 19 inch CRT television, popping a 1980s VHS tape of "Rocky" in it, and then stretching that small screen to 80 inches big. You can barely tell an eye from a nose, and forget about reading text. When you go up close, like, where you would sit if you really had an 80 inch television, you see horrible pixelation. At 80 inches, each pixel is 1/8 of an inch wide!!! It actually looks worse than youtube's 240p quality, stretched to fill an 80 inch screen. Absolutely unacceptable for home theater of any kind, the quality is beyond dismal (at least coming from someone who enjoys BluRay and full HD). Be aware, also, that you must place this projector at least 1.25 meters to get the smallest screen size (20in), and up to 4.5 meters away to get the 80inches. There are also no settings for the projection height or angled projection (such as trapezoid, etc), so you pretty much have to have this projector level or else the image gets skewed (for example floor to wall or ceiling to wall). The brightness, I can confirm as well, as others have stated, is indeed 100 lumens. This is unacceptable. It looks dimmer and more washed out than those old 8mm film projectors. You have to squint to see 'details,' which are pretty much non-existent because of the low resolution to begin with. This would give anyone a headache by the end of a typical feature film. I do not recommend this at all to people who have poorer vision. This, mind you, is in total darkness, as in after 11 pm in your living room with all room lights and adjacent hallway lights off.The colors are also terrible. Everything is skewed to the blue end o f the spectrum (not much, but enough), but you can 'almost' correct this by putting in your own RGB values and setting the picture mode to warm. The overheating issue that others have mentioned did not happen to me after the half hour of 'viewing' which was about the maximum I could bear before putting it back in the box. I don't see why people had overheating issues. It DOES have an internal fan, maybe their units were defective. Also, I suspect that if you were to plug in an SD card or usb stick, essentially relying on the built in software decoder in the unit and its own, surely weak, processor, then I can see how if you feed it some advanced codec like h.264 or 5 it will eventually overheat like most pieces of garbage of that caliber do. That, or they are placing it on a soft surface. Yes, if you put this on your blanket in your room and it's like 85 degrees in there, yes, it will probably over heat and burn itself down if you're lucky.Overall, pretty terrible. The only saving grace this thing has is the fact that it's LED, so the lamp won't burn out on you anytime soon. It is also quite small, roughly a 6x6 inch square, about 4 inches tall. So, for movie watching, absoLUTELY not! For presentations, also no, the screen is too small even if it were to be a higher resolution, but since it's not it just fails on too many levels. You can't read a typical powerpoint presentation on this thing easily.Pretty much the only thing this is good for is if you have a party and want to add some 'ambiance' background imagery on your wall, like, floating bubbles or a music video or something like that. Which, unless it's pitch black in the room, won't work either. This is a kid's toy, nothing more. I really challenge anyone who actually understands video and computer technology and knows what acceptable quality is to come up with a use for this thing...

Pleasantly surprised
I just received this . Usually I would not write a review so quickly but I gave it a trial run yesterday, and I must say for the price I was impressed with the picture quality. I will use this for the backyard and didn't want to invest a lot of money to show movies to the grandkids and relatives. The sound leaves a lot to be desired but I was able to hook a pair of speakers up easily to the unit which solved the problem. At first, I kept getting a message that no signal was received but found that it preferred another HDMI cable to another one. Both cords are the same, so I'm not sure what's up with that. Anyway, the second cord worked perfectly, and the picture looked great. I was on the fence about this and didn't want to be out even $45.00 but it will suit my needs. The unit is small, portable and lightweight. If I find major flaws after some use, I will come back and update my review. So far so good. Update- Fourth of July movie night went off without a hitch thanks to this projector. It showed really well as it was dark outside. I had no problems with it getting hot. Having said that, I noticed that the fan ran constantly and that's a good thing. If the fan stops working or is not working properly, I can see the unit overheating and shutting off as some other reviewers have posted. Next time, I will hook up a surround system or a speaker booster. Once outside with voices going back and forth, you really need to have a volume boost in order to hear well. Hope the unit continues to serve me well. I had lots of people ask about it.

Works perfect for the price and the screen is big enough for the size of the projector. For some reason i need the control to maneuver the menus, the buttons on top didnt work well for me. Other than that no complaints on how it functions.

FastFox Mini LED Prjector LCD120 Don't buy it!
I bought this to project photos onto a canvas or wall for sketching in before painting rather than having to draw a grid and freehand. The image is such poor quality -- it is barely traceable-- and I am using high resolution photography-- clunky control buttons that are not always responsive-- can't image using this for viewing movies, Power Point or anything else you actually want to see.Spend more and get a better quality machine.
