Icebreaker Merino Unisex Adult Sierra Beanie, Black, OS

It is smallish, and light weight. But, that is what I was looking for. For this purpose, I want a beanie that is small enough to cover some of my ears when it is down, and to be above my ears when I turn up the edge.I love the fact it is wool. I like wool. I want something to fit tightly on my skull, not sit on top like a cap or a snood. This does a pretty good job, and it has only the tag for visible markings.The competition, for me, is the Smartwool "Lid". Which has the disadvantage of big contrasting letters telling others the brand when I turn up the edge. I like both products, although imo the "Lid" has a slightly better fit. But the Icebreaker is good, and good quality. And it doesn't advertise when I wear it.This is not a beanie when you are looking for winter or cold weather gear. It is lightweight - for cool weather. It makes a good liner for wearing a second, thicker, beanie for colder weather. With this beanie in a two layered beanie solution, I can go outside down to around 10 F. With the Icebreaker alone, I would need something more once the temps got to, hmmm, maybe 40-45 F.

I purchased this beanie to use it along with my bike helmet in my commutes to work in the chillier weather. The hat works great to keep me warm and fits well underneath my Bern helmet. There's a noticeable difference in warmth. I'm happy with my purchase. As a standalone beanie without a helmet, it doesn't do well to keep your ears and head warm in cold weather, so I wouldn't really recommend it for that use.My only complaint would be that I wish it had a bit tighter elastic brim so it feels more snug.

It fits kinda small. I'm not unhappy with this product, just wasn't exactly what I had expected. Over all I'm still pleased.

Nice hat! Good quality and keeps the head warm! Hubby love it! He says it warm and it breathes. Doesn't get smelly and easy to wash!

This beanie is perfect and fits perfect. If you're looking for one you can wear all the way down without having to turn up the edge this is it. It's also thin enough to wear all the time but enough material to keep you warm.

I bought this for my husband when we go snowshoeing/ hiking in the winter. he absolutely loves it. draws the sweat away and keeps his head warm. nothing but good things to say about this hat.
