Pilot Stargazer Pearl Lacquer Fountain Pen with Rhodium Accents, Medium Nib, Sapphire Blue Finish (60967)

This is an excellent pen that I purchased on 'sale' from Amazon. It retails for $152 on every other website but I got it for $108 here.The packaging is fine: a plastic/cardboard box with a transparent window so you can see the pen inside. Under the plastic that the pen is attached to is the instruction booklet and the Pilot ink cartridge. The Pilot Con 20 converter comes pre-installed in the pen.I'll try to give you what you can't see in the pictures or other reviews.The pen is beautifully constructed all around, which is a surprise for something that doesn't have the price of a high quality pen.It's very very small without the cap. You can of course write with it posted and it would do just fine (very well balanced), but I've never been one to do that. It's just fine without the cap if you don't mind the light weight and small length.The nib is absolutely amazing! No skipping, very smooth, and ornately detailed as well. It really is just short of semi-flex, although I wouldn't write too hard with it for extended periods.Perhaps the biggest downside to the pen is the amount of ink the converter holds. I filled it completely with Noodler's Black and wrote three pages and the ink was running low (!). The cartridges hold more ink, but that's the only reason to use them.I really love this thing. I'm a student, so I don't really want to bring it to class (I use a Lamy Safari for that), but I wanted something to write assignments/draw with and keep for many years. This pen will do nicely, atleast until I start making some serious money.

Expensive but nice arrived on time and looks amazing writes wonderfully. But for the same pen but cheaper look for a Stella
