Honey-Can-Do4-Tier Chrome Shelving unit-200 lbs

Excellent product for storing sports equipment, canned goods, paper products, files. When you assemble, have a tape measure and a helper. Here are some tips: 1/ The shelf trim edge always goes towards the floor. 2/ put the 1st shelf which is the bottom one over its 4 vertical legs . figure out where you want the shelf in relation to the floor . To support the shelf, 2 plastic brackets clip over each vertical pole. these brackets have direction arrows pointing ‘up.’ Both halves clip together properly over the pole only if both arrows are pointing up. ( If you misassemble the 2 pieces without both arrows up, the shelf wont fit . you will need a screwdriver to pry them apart.) 3/ Once the 2 pieces clip together properly over each of the poles and are positioned in relation to the floor so the shelf is not slanted, the shelf can be pressed down over to fit over the upper part of the clips . (The shelf only goes partway onto the clips, (not the whole way over them and it stays firmly in place. ) 4/ now : install the next shelves: Use a tape measure to measure where to put the next sets of 2 clips onto each of 4 poles to support the next shelf , being careful that the next sets of clips are each the same vertical distance from those supporting the previous shelf. (Otherwise the shelf will be slanted. ) doing one shelf at a time it will take about 15 minutes to assemble this product properly. (If you dont read my directions, it may take a lot longer ——because i initially did just about everything wrong and had to take the whole thing apart ...)

I really like this shelving unit. No tools needed. Just have to figure out that the little black sprockets that hold the shelf supports in place should have the smaller diameter on top..larger on the bottom. The shelves slide over the black sprockets and secure the height of the shelf.The piece is sturdy, can hold lots of weight, and is very attractive. Can’t believe it was only $32.

There are no instructions whatsoever, so it took me a minute to figure it out. Also, I had not factored in my baseboards, so it did not fit crossways the way I wanted, which is exactly 36". However, it is strong enough to hold 3 3 gallon jugs on one shelf, although the shelf is slightly bowed. The bowing may be due to the plastic things that hold the shelf in place. They slip and it's pretty much impossible to get them all at exactly the same height.It is a useful item for those of us who are space-challenged. For the price, it's just ok.

(Measure carefully if you want the best space saving capacity). I want to add a picture, but my pictures are on my phone. My closet is under a stairway, and these shelves have added so much storage capacity to my closet!! They are strong and attractive! I also bought the metal shelf dividers which help keep things in order. They were a bit hard for me as a 76 year old woman who has back problems and arthritis, but I did it, and I am very happy to have them!!

I like Honey Can Do Shelves because so far all of the poles are 1" diameter(I think the industry standard "in my opinion") and 1" between shelf lines from their 4 and 5 tier shelf units. I do not like when you order from same company and they are not standard diameters. Honey Can Do seem to be good quality. The shelves themselves weigh less than other companies I own and they state they only hold 200lbs per shelfx4 instead of 350 lbs+/-. But they suit my needs. I am not going to store over 200lbs per shelf

Image of product is deceiving as the ornate edging around the shelf does not contain the products you place on the shelf. As this ornate edging is on the bottom side of the shelf all around the edge of the shelf it's on the bottom of the shelf not the top. It seems like it was a manufacturing error.So it seems like the shelf is upside down.Other than that it is quite sturdy and fairly easy to put together once you pay attention to how the shelf supports are attached and careful that they are the same height on all four posts which this shelf will rest.

I actually read the dimensions incorrectly on this item as I had intentions of placing this shelving unit in my kitchen but ended up being too big. So I decided to use it in my room as my room needed some organizing as well. It actually served a great purpose. I was able to place it behind my closet door and removed some items from my closet and placed them on the shelves. My looks neater and my closet looks more spacious. It is extremely sturdy, easy to assemble. I'm always looking for a good bargain and wished these shelving units were a bit less in cost. But overall, I definitely recommend this product!

I don't know yet if I like them they are really sturdy and I was able to get all of my canned and boxed foods in one place but putting them together aw a real challenge, the plastic bushings would fall off every time I would install a shelf I finally had to tape it so that I could get the shelf on. I would say if it serves a purpose, for now, that's fine eventually I will be buying a cabinet for my food but for now, this is the best cheap alternative.I'll give it a 4 only cause of the bushings that I had to tape to install the shelves other than that they seem ok for now.

One shelf came damaged box was a bit beat up very good shelves though needs some foam in the box!

Easy assembly, built solid.

Simple assembly. Very solid shelves. I added wheels and am using as a portable media cart. I am sure these shelves will find many uses over the coming years.

I like it and was simple to assemble. It`s a keeper but it`s 36" not 48" as listed. Is there a price adjustment?
