Men's Pathfinder Hiking

I keep hearing of people complaining about new shoes being too tight.... You don't want lose hiking shoes/boots unless you've fallen in love with a member of a rescue team. Wear them in. Give those puppies a mile or two walking around and they'll feel like sleepy time flippy floppies.

I normally wear a US 10.5 Wide. So sometimes I need an 11 if the shoes are narrow. I have never in any shoes I have ever purchased, needed an 11.5. In these, I did. So order at least a 1/2 size up, and be prepared to send them back for another 1/2 size up. One reviewer said that they are not small and should be tight and 'give them time to wear in.' Snug is one thing, but so small that you can't even get your feet into them is completely different. If you can't even get your feet into them, or if you can, but your feet are so crammed in that they hurt, they're too small. Get a bigger size. Once I got the size that fits, they were very comfortable and give good support. And they seem well made and sturdy.

I bought these specifically for the waterproof description. The first time in a very light drizzle, on the street, with no puddles they leaked immediately. I never expected rubbers but something more than this. They are also not in the least windproof, so not for cooler environments.They also run very small. I normally wear mens 10. Occasionally 10.5 but I had to get 11's.In all, I have OTB's in high and low top, that fit and wear better and are just as water, wind resistant(without being advertised as such). Just a waste of money for me.

These shoes give great support throughout the day. They are sturdy and good for women who have feet too large to find a shoe in women's sizing. Very practical. Would like to see more color options of blue, light/white, brown.

This is the second pair of Salomon's I buy that fit more snug than my first 3 pairs. Mind you, they have all been different models, but, shoe size should not be subjective to which model you go with, specially if they are all made by the same manufacturer. I'd describe the Salomon Pathfinders as: Light, firm (as in not very cushiony, as what a cross training shoe would feel) and above average in the looks dept (very subjective, of course)

Ok - so I've had this pair of shoes for a few weeks now. I'll be honest, at first I was rather disappointed because they had a tighter than expected fit and my feet actually hurt the first several days. After a few weeks, I've now worn them in a bit and there is a very noticeable break-in where they expanded a tiny bit to fit my foot and are significantly more comfortable. Great active shoe for running, trail running, cross training, etc. I would certainly recommend with the caveat that they may either require a short break-in or perhaps even a half size larger than what you normally order.

I previously had two pair of these shoes and they were great. Literally lasted over 1000 miles for each pair and they felt great on the road and the trail. Protected your feet from tocks and roots on the trail while providing excellent grip.This new pair is totally different. The sole is softer and you can feel the rocks and roots on the bottom of your feet. I've run two races in these shoes and my feet bothered me later in the races, which did not happen with the previous two pairs. I really like Salomon but will not be purchasing these again.

Pay a little bit more for the next Salomon model up in price, and you'll get a much better shoe. I'd had a few pairs of Salomon hiking shoes previously that I really liked, and these looked similar and were a little less expensive. Actually, they're just much cheaper - absolutely no insole or arch support and flimsy mesh upper. They're also a slightly weird color.

I like Salomon shoes and boots. I wish the ad used the word "blue". The listing says black/night sky. I was not expecting blue and don't recall seeing the word blue in the ad.

The website says the shoe has a waterproof membrane. The membrane is not waterproof at all.In fact, it swamps with water. Don’t buy at all, or you have to return it.

The shoes are what I expected, fit well and will work. But the liners are clearly used. You can see in the photo the sweat stains and one logo is even rubbed out.

Me encantaron, me quedaron perfectos y eso que tengo un pie un poco ancho.Se sienten sumamente resistentes y cómodos.Pero yo quería que fueran negros o gris oscuro como aparentan en las fotos, y el color real es azul oscuro.De todos modos me gusta el color, pero me hubieran gustado más negros.Fuera de eso, es un gran producto.

Zapatos para senderismo, cómodos, buena tracción en la suela. No son impermeables, pero se secan rápido. Ligeros. Materiales resistentes y de calidad. Esta marca es de lo mejor para senderismo.
