Kobalt Brushless 24-Volt Cordless Random Orbital Sander

No cord! Decent battery life during use.

I bought a couple of the 24 V tools last Black Friday. So the sander on sale and bought it. Works perfectly. So convenient to be able to use without a power cord

This is by far an amazing wireless sander. Being brushless, it feels great in your hands with very little fatigue compared to others we have used in the past. You also get a decent amount of usage out of it on a single battery, although not as long as some of the other tools in the line. So you would be best to use the 4 or 5 amp hour batteries.The only catch to keep in mind is that it appears that Kobalt does *not* carry/make any replacement option for the pad (what the sandpaper sticks to). When the pad wears down (to the point where the sandpaper will no longer stick to it), you may no longer be able to use it until a solution is found. We found this to be incredibly odd, and it will result in a drop in score if they don't come up with a solution in the near future.We have read rumors that a Ryobi pad may fit, but we have not tried it ourselves (we just came into possession of it, so it has seen little use thus far). Beyond that, it seems no other pads fit. Recent comments (within the last few months) made by Kobalt to various reviews/comments pointing this out on another website (I'm sure we aren't allowed to mention here which one it is) involve them looking for a solution ("we are currently working with the manufacture to provide replacement parts for this and other products. Sadly, parts are not available yet but will be in the near future"...). However, the product has been out since 2017. So as I said, we may adjust the score down in the near future if nothing changes as that would be a costly mistake for both them and any consumer who bought one.So as long as they do right for the consumers soon, this will remain an amazing product worth having in your collection if you are already invested into the Kobalt 24V Max collection of tools.**If you have found our review helpful, please vote it as helpful below so we know. I like that it is part of the Kobalt 24v. Max set. Very well priced.

Very handy! Definitely buy one! Just make sure you buy the physically smaller batteries so it is not too heavy!

My second sander of this model just died (conveniently at the same time Lowes was closing). Going to upgrade to something that can handle itself and not crap out 6 months later, especially when it doesn’t get used every day.
