Sounds decent for a garage/workshop, charges fine, looks ok and has actual buttons you can feel without having to look which is a huge bonus. However, it is riddled with bugs. I picked this up to go with an ipod touch 5th gen pretty much just to run pandora and a playlist or two and it has been nothing but problematic. It has trouble deciding to recognize the ipod and if it will actually play the music through the speakers or just let the ipod blast away (never been a problem with other docking stations and this ipod before). It also gets confused with the volume. Sometimes it wants to use its buttons, other times you need to use the ipod volume and even then there is a 10% chance no volume keys anywhere will effect the volume at all... which is ideal. Sometimes turning it off turns off the ipod too... which is a good and desirable feature, but most of the time about 10 seconds (which is long enough for you to wakj into another room) after you turn it off it turns itself back on because pandora is still going. Turning on because it detects music wanting to play is a nice feature too but it seems to be in perpetual conflict. Basically every time I start out a project I have 5 to 15 minutes of fiddling with it (and the ipod) to get it to play properly and another minute or so to get it to shut down. It seems to be entirely incompatible with the very device brands it is designed around. I will be on the search for another one and "donating" this one to the recycling. I have had docking stations for years and have never had issues like this. Turn em on, pick an app or a playlist, listen and enjoy, shut it off.

Very well made product. My music had no interruptions (like random stops of playing) when I put my iPhone 5c on the doc. The doc is much sturdier than a Philips speaker I tried earlier (it was the specific speaker/shape, etc.., not the brand Philipps). I sense this product would last and work well for a long time. I returned due to wanting more of a different sound (surround, hear the base, etc...). I'm not a music/appliance aficionado but for me I was not getting the sound I wanted (was to me, like listening to music on my laptop or iPhone). So, not bad, but not "special", I guess. Perfect size, easily portable, lovely shape (aesthetically). No problems with the return or the delivery - came intact, well protected, and was able to try it out and then return.

I live in a small condo and wanted to be able to enjoy my iTunes off my phone at home. This does a pretty good job. This is made for a small room set up, not something that will fill your large, open rooms. The sound is slightly off to my ears but still pretty darn good. If you are a real audiofile you might not like. I wish there were a way to adjust the sound like on your stereo system. I am not that picky, picky and am happy to be able to bring the tunes into my home. It is annoying that you do need to remove your iPhone case in order to plug this in but I will deal with it.

Easy to hook up and easy to play. The sound that comes out is fantastic and comparable to many bookshelf units costing more. I recommend this for any iPhone 5S user who wants to listen to great music through a nice speaker system. Good value for the money spent. I have been asked if this speaker system will serve for use with the new i phone 6 or 6 plus. The answer is that it will fit the new i phone 6 and 6 plus, because they have the same connector size. The only draw back is that if you have a case around your phone you have to remove it to place it on the sound dock. The connector is not long enough to plug in all the way if your phone case obstructs the connection pin. I hope this helps those people that have asked the question.

The speaker has fantastic sound. My only complaint is how the speaker works (or doesn't work) with an iPhone. You have to install an app in order to play music. Fine. The ultimate problem is that if you are using any kind of iPhone case, you must remove your iPhone from the case. Not very practical for everyday use since cases are not designed to come on and off that frequently. With my Windows Phone and Android, however, this device works great! Plugs right in to the 3.5 mm jack, plays without needing any special software, and sounds fantastic!

This dock is great. I initially bought a Sony, but for whatever reason, it's lost the quality my old Sony had. I heard very good things about this model so decided to try it. The sound is clear and crisp. There is plenty of bass and volume as well. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it doesn't come with a remote (loved that about the speakers for my old phone), and my phone cannot fit on it while the case is on. I knew the latter was going to be the case.

So far, this thing is awesome! Had to upgrade to a new speaker set when I moved from the 4s to the 6. There is an alarm clock feature (two apps, I think, in the Apple store), but I use this in my kitchen (I cook a lot) so I can't speak to how it would work for that functionality. Only downside is no remote (which I used occasionally with my old speaker set), but the sound quality is top notch and better than expected for the price. Phone feels secure in the seat and isn't going to fall out or otherwise be damaged if you have to move the speaker set while on.

I bought this iPhone5 speaker dock as a Christmas gift for my daughter who is a college student. When she opened the gift, she was very happy with the look and feel of the device. She plugged it in right away and started to play music on her iPhone. We were all pleasantly surprised by the beautiful sound of the it - for such a small device, the speakers sound very nice. It is also very easy to use - you won't need a manual to operate it. This little device got a lot of use through the holiday week when our entire family was home. My daughter will take it with her to her college dorm happily when school starts.
