Q: what is the maximum height you can raise the seat too?

It appears that seat would raise to about 28" but the back would be pretty low. I have the seat at about 22".

No, this is definitely an adult stool. He'd have to climb up on it.

Q: how much does it weigh, can a lady carry with ease?

It probably weighs about 15lbs. You can move it around the house. It’s great for long practice sessions but not for taking on gigs. It doesn’t fold up flat. It’s the best most comfortable practice chair I’ve ever used, but you’ll need a roadie to take it to performances. Good luck
