And it’s an incredibly fun read from page to page. As someone who has already used this book for its powerful tools, there is one thing I can guarantee you: this book will assist you in nailing that interview you’re preparing for exactly as it did for me. Maybe you have absolutely no experience interviewing, or maybe you’re a little dusty and need a quick reminder on what it takes to perform well at an interview. Whatever the case may be, I assure you “Interview Like A Boss” is the answer to all your needs and WILL help you land the job you deserve.

Based on all of the online ‘hype’, I took a chance and picked up a copy of this book. Being out of work, I had already applied to a couple of jobs, but I was getting no responses. Like zero. Following the book’s suggestion, the first thing I did was ‘borrow’ a couple of thank-you note examples and sent them off. And the very next day I get a call to interview, and I’m like “what the…”Even with a B.S. degree in Social Work and years of experience helping countless others with job placement, I felt totally frazzled now being the one having to ‘go out there’ and get a job. Day one, I receive the book in the mail and its paid off within 24-hours. So on Wednesday I went in to my interview, and fortunately I studied the Q&A and negotiating salary section…that saved me when the subject turned to money. He asks, “how much did you get paid at your last job?” and I responded with exact same answer I memorized straight out of the book and not only did I avoid that classic trap, I actually ended up bumping up my hourly.Yesterday (Thursday) I received my job offer. Started working today :) Thank you Hans, your book got me hired.

I wasn’t exactly sure what I was about to be reading. I knew the basics. I knew that I would be able to get results. I knew from many people that the advice was the best that they had ever encountered, so I knew it was going to be great. But still, I tried to adjust my expectations so I wouldn’t overhype myself… and then I opened up my first couple pages and all of that went out the door. It’s so incredibly immersive, that my mind is…a little bit blown. Confidence, winning answers and a brand new way of looking at life, that is what “Interview Like A Boss” brings to the table. I feel myself drawn into the psychology which sometimes causes me to step back a bit and question everything I’ve ever been taught… At some moments, I am speechless. At other times, I’m cracking up. Besides the fact that job hunting is the wild west, how do you fix complicated, real-life issues so you can actually send the resumes in the first place?? …The world around isn’t getting any easier, and there are serious problems we face that no one seems to answer (until now). If anybody is reading this, you’ve just found an incredibly amazing, amazing, amazing book.

Some of the suggestions in this book are far too forward for me (going to offices despite being told only to email and calling and acting like I know the office manager). I can see how they would work for people with different personalities.However, most of the stuff in this book is pure gold. The author delivers it with humor and compassion, and it worked for me. I went to three interviews (and got called and scheduled for twice as many) before I got two offers and one second interview where I would have had a 50% chance of getting hired based purely upon the number of remaining candidates. I ended up negotiating an amazing offer for my top pick and canceling the rest of my interviews so that I could start the same day.This book will get you what you want.

I was afraid to write too much for fear people wouldn't stop to read it.  Wow. There was so much more than I expected in this book. I have looked for years for solid answers about applying for jobs. This situation is made worse because of all the questionable information online…what’s good? What’s not? Well this book definitely sets the record straight. What immediately stands out is the book says everything I know I'm supposed to say…it just says it better than I could in any of my attempts. The sections on emotions and confidence are so original and so powerful, it almost falls in the category of “I gotta see it to believe it.” It literally changed how I see the world. I know that people like to throw out book suggestions to make themselves seem really smart or interesting, but this book stands out because it explains so many things in an easy to read way that really makes sense. A tool rather than airy bland bullet points from some random website on what you “ought” to do.Shawn W.

I bought this book because let's face it I need all the help I can get. I am an educated person and don't have too many problems bouncing back on my feet. As I do have a variety to choose from when it comes to education, I also have quite a few gaps between employment due to being a caretaker. I had an interview and had not worked in almost 2 years I had no idea where to start from. I started reading interview like a boss and realized all in one I had a play by play of how to present myself from the very basics like what business casual means, how to put a resume together and most of all how to answer the difficult questions like why did you leave your last job. This book is a MUST buy MUST have!Don't stress if you have a not so clean background because this book teaches you how to answer those questions too!! Like I said a MUST have MUST buy and a MUST KEEP CLOSE BY BOOK!!
