Worked like a charm on my bulldog
This is the FIRST shampoo that has ever worked on my bulldog that did not break him out in hives.. His hair was so SOFT afterwards as an added bonus to the decrease in itching from before. I will keep this in our medicine cabinet forever now.

NOT FOR ALLERGIES!
Did absolutely nothing for my dog's itch which is due to allergies. My dog was clean, but there are many other products that can do that for less $$'s

Try this--it will help
I have a 6 year old snowshoe cat who developed skin allergies after administering a "neck-type" flea medication. He chewed and scratched and bit at every piece of his anatomy he could get to. His fur was present only in patches and lots of bare scabbed, inflamed skin was painfully visible. I even bought a "cone of shame" to keep him from hurting himself (Watch the movie "UP" and you'll know what I mean!) Nothing worked. We even switched his food to a very expensive kind. Bendryl pills only succeeded in making him frantic and foam at the mouth. When he started hiding from me, I got really concerned. I don't have the extra money for a vet visit for skin issues, so I needed something OTC that would give him some relief. This shampoo fit the bill nicely. It really curtailed his scratching and biting. At long last, his fur is starting to grow back and the scabby places are much fewer in number. Would have given it 5 stars, but I still have to spray his "hot spots" with a hydrocortisone spray after bathing to keep him scratch free. I find I have to bathe him at least once per week with the shampoo to keep his symptoms at bay.

Useless
Useless, he stopped itching for about 5 minutes. It would have been great if it worked, but I think a shot is the only answer.

Buy the cream instead
Doesn't help and shedding is bad afterwards. However the Excel Hydrocortisone cream/ointment works better than what my vet prescribed...which shocked me. I took it into my vet and she encouraged me to keep using it if it helped my cat. Get the cream.

Awesome stuff
This product works like a charm. Our little wiener dog has suffered about a year with unexplained itching. We changed his diet, allergy tested, flea treated and everything else under the sun. He would not stop scratching. Shampoo after shampoo, spray after spray, nothing worked. I was surfing on Amazon in the pet department and came across this product and thought well I have tried everything else, so I ordered it with the spray. It arrives two days later and into the bath he went. It was almost immediate. My mouth fell open. The first day in a year I didn't hear the little guy's feet tap, tap; tap the floor as he scratched himself. We applied the spray before he went to his kennel for the night and use it in between baths. It's been about 3 weeks now and the playful dog is back in our life itch free.

Good Product for Itchy Dogs.
This stuff is hard to find at pet stores and can cost a fortune. My dog gets itchy in the summer from rolling in the grass and this does the trick.***If your dog has red patches that they lick and lick and lick at, that is probably a fungus. I have attached some pictures so you can see what a fungal infection usually looks like. This shampoo doesn't work for fungus. Tinactin Spray (for Athlete's Foot, Jock Itch, etc) will usually clear that up but read all info below:If it's a large area, go to the vet. If it's a small area and you catch it early, spray Tinactin on it. Let it set for 5 minutes or so before letting your dog loose. That way the medicine will absorb in and they won't lick it off. The icy spray may surprise your dog at first, but then within a couple minutes, it goes to work on the fungus and the itch will start to go away usually within a couple hours. You have to use it for a couple days but if you don't see a MARKED improvement by the SECOND time you use it, get the vet to take a look in case your dealing with something else. I've attached some fungus photos so you can see if that is what you are dealing with...)

works with spray
Not sure which one is potent, the shampoo or the spray. but either way, I'm just happy they both together worked for my brittanny spaniel's flaky rashes all over her body and saved me minimum of $200 per trip to the vet in the future. We already had two outbreaks this year, and when the 3rd one came, there's just no way I would want her to take those oral medications(with steroids) again as I'm worried it might hurt her liver and shorten her life span. This stuff works, you just have to be diligent with massaging your dog for 15minutes in the shower, and another 5-10minutes for the spray if she has thick coat like mine. For the love my dog has on us, it's all worth it.
