Reaper's Legacy (Reapers Motorcycle Club Book 2)

Hot, Alpha, bad boy biker, tattooed and pierced in all the right places...
What a Thrill Ride..... OMG... Ruger....I wanted to climb him like a monkey, fuze myself to his body and lick him all over....ok, maybe more than lick...seriously... Hot, Alpha, bad boy biker, tattooed and pierced in all the right places...I loved Reaper's Property. Horse was one of my all time favorite book boyfriends...BUT Ruger just dethrowned him.... Sophie was the kind of heroine I love. Strong. Independent. Willing to do what ever it takes to care for herself and her son. She asks nothing of no one...even when she should.Sophie has found herself in a situation she never wanted to be in. Single mom at 17. Baby daddy, Zack, is totally worthless. He doesnt help with his son. And she doesnt even know where to find him. Tossed out by her parents for keeping the baby. Living in less then stellar conditions. Doing what ever she has to do to support herself and her kid.Ruger is Sophie's sons uncle...yep...what a connection that is. And on the night Sophie goes into labor its on Ruger to help her bring her son Noah into the world. On the side on the road. In the dark. While baby daddy is passed out drunk in the bed of the pickup truck..."He watched as the newborn opened it's eyes for the first time and lookedright at him. They were blue.." and then he "looked up at Sophie as he raised the babybetween them. She smiled hesitantly and reached for her child. Herexhausted, tear-streaked yet radiant face was the second-most beautifulthing he'd ever seen in his life. Right after those tiny blue eyes."Ruger has wanted Sophie from the start. Since he walked in and caught her half naked on his couch with his brother Zack, the night she looses her virginity. 8 months later, Ruger finds himself helping Sophie deliver her son, Noah... and that night Ruger falls in love with the baby and Sophie....Ruger spends the next 7 years looking out for Sophie and Noah. He always has her back, even when she doesn't know it. One night changes everything...when Sophie finds herself desperate for a babysitter she entrusts her neighbor to look after Noah while she goes to work...and one phone call from Noah starts a chain of events Sophie would never imagine...Ruger shows up in the middle of the night..mad as a h*** and breathing fire, on a mission to force Sophie's hand. He received a phone call from a freaked out Noah and has driven all night to come to the rescue..unable to reach Sophie by phone, he is on a rampage..She doesnt know it, but she is moving out of her rat hole apartment and coming with him whether she likes it or not... and without warning Sophie is thrown into the life of the biker world. A life so different from anything she has ever known, she begins to make her plans to get out...Confused and unsure of the life Ruger has brought her into, she begins to forge friendships with the other Old Ladies. They do their best to guide her through the crazy that is their every day life. Property patches, fights, drunken men, wild parties, fights and unfaithful men. Not the life Sophie pictured for herself or her son. She doesnt feel safe. She doesnt understand the world they live in. She see's them as criminals. Yet, Ruger lays claim to her. She wants commitment. He can't promise that. She wants normal. He doesnt do normal. She doesnt understand his world. The terms they use. Or the life they live.... Becoming Ruger's Property??? Wearing a vest that claims her as Ruger's Property??? Nope...Sophie wants no parts of it."You're not from my world, so you don't know exactly what wearing a vestlike this means.""You look at this (vest) and see the word 'Property'....But what it reallymeans is you're my woman, and I want everyone to know it. I live in a harshworld, babe. A world where bad shit happens.......this vest means you're oneof us. Those aren't just words Sophie. We're a tribe. And every Reaper in theclub would die to protect a woman wearing this vest. They'd do it because theyare my brothers, and because it means more than any ring ever could in our world.""When a man takes a woman as property, it's not about owning her. It's abouttrusting her. This is my life I'm handing you, Sophie."So much confusion. So many questions. So much Chaos. The question is, will Sophie be able to make her way through this new world. Will she be able to accept the differences and get past the terms. Because, really, that's the difference...terms, just Words....I absolutely loved loved loved this Book...Reaper's Legacy is going into my all time favorite books list. High paced, action filled, just the right amount of drama, strong characters and omgoogle the sex... hot hot hot... If you have not read the 1st book in the series Reaper's Property (yep-there is that property word again) You NEED to meet Horse. But, Reaper's Legacy can easily be read as a stand alone.Iam now on a countdown for Book 3--Devil's Game. We meet Hunter in Reaper's Legacy. Im really curious to see how this story plays out-- Hunter is part of a rival MC-- in love with the Reaper Presidents daughter Em. And he is responsible for the kidnapping of....oh wait---> I dont want to give it away...you'll just have to read Reaper's Legacy for all the glorious details. Sigh... I miss the Reapers already.

RATING: 5 MC STARS!!
BOOK REVIEW by Michelle:I am getting quite addicted to Joanna’s series and her very Alpha-caveman-possessive-dirty-dangerous, MC lads.We meet Ruger, pronounced, Rooger, aka Jesse, but we like to use their MC names, because that’s their thing.Sophie first meets Ruger when she’s being banged, cashing in her V-card by his step brother, Zach. This guy was really tall, and muscular in the way men who work with their hands get from heavy lifting on the job.He wore a black leather vest with patches over a ratty T-shirt and jeans that had streaks of dark motor oil or grease or something. A half rack of beer dangled from one hand. His hair was short and dark. Almost military. His lip was pierced and he wore two rings in his left ear and one in his right, like a pirate. Eyebrow was pierced, too. His features were bluntly handsome, but nobody would ever call him pretty.Zach is an douche. He plays the part well.Fast forward eight years and Sophie and Ruger are throwing down smexual tension all over the place. He is growly and loves little Noah. He is protective in his caveman way. He just wants his slice of cake and the rest of the pieces when he feels like it.From day one, I can say with a clear conscience that there is nothin’-- not a ducking thing -- on this earth I wouldn’t do to protect him or you.”Monogamy isn’t his thing.Whoah there big guy!Ruger was all lean and muscular, with a six-pack that tapered down nicely and biceps that were a work of art. Oh, wow . One of his nipples was pierced, too.Sophie, I understand. She is a civilian. She knows MC clubs have a darker side to them and she has a son to protect. She has her heart to protect. No matter how hard she fights it, Ruger and Sophie have a magnetic pull towards each other. She gets reeled in, and then she lets herself off the hook, only to be reeled in again.“No, “ I whispered. “Aside from Noah, that’s the only part of those years I want to remember, because it was beautiful, Ruger. Whatever else happened, you gave me beautiful.”I really appreciate how Joanna explains MC life and terms by sliding them into the storyline. It helps me really understand that this tribe of men, are not civillians, they are sexist to an extent, but it is their life. Their ways. They make no bones about it. It is what it is.“I don’t understand...” I murmured, trying to wrap my head around his words.“When a man takes a woman as his property, it’s not about owning her,” he continued, eyes searching my face. “It’s about trusting her. This is my life I’m handing you, Sophie. Not just my life-- my brother’s lives too. It mean I’m responsible for everything you do. You duck up, I’ll pay. You need help, we’re there. You’re the only woman I’ve ever met that I’d consider giving that kind of power to. Hell, I’m not just considering it, I’m desperate for you to take it.”The whores, are who they are. They know the rules. I do cringe, but that is what is inside a motorcycle club. They come with whores. It’s like this giant play pen for men. The unattached ones, well mostly the unattached club members, don’t have to use a pick up line, it is like an all-you-can-eat-buffet, just waiting for them to pick what they want.Joanna feels like she has done much research into this life these men and women lead. She shows me more and more in each book, that it isn’t the life for me, but everybody loves somebody and in a motorcycle club, there are the rules you follow. They have a law unto their own, even in this day and age. A lot of these guys served their country and this is where they fit in.Who they want to be.I just have to get past the whole woman thing and whoring etc, but everybody who is a part of this world, understands what they are signing up for.Ruger is fiercely protective of Sophie and Noah. He just has to not be a man whore. She is not down with that, nor would I be.When Ruger is being smexi, whahhhhh, he is dynamite, when he is being a butt, he is being a dumb butt about what is good for the gander isn’t good for the goose. She gotta play by his rules.I liked that the old ladys give Sophie advice, they seem like a lot of fun. They band together. This is a rough, dangerous life that Joanna writes really well. She drops some great seeds in this installment for Devil’s Game. I don’t even know how Em is going to get around that issue, cause it is a deal breaker.Another smexi, dangerous page turner about a motorcycle club who look after their own, love and protect with a fierceness for their own, and lord help you if you are stupid enough to mess with them.Michelle

Ruger's Match
I was a bit hesitant in picking this one up after reading Reaper's Property, and absolutely loving it. I blame Horse and Marie for that lol. I wasn't too sure if I was going to like this storyline based on the lead having a relationship with her ex's brother as it didn't appeal to me, now boy how wrong was I. The first few pages got me hooked and I struggled to put this book down and berated myself in nearly missing out on a book that now sits firmly on my can't live without shelf! I loved reading every second of this book. Horse was hilarious in this, you can't get away from him and why would you want too lol. This book definitely made me feel the intense heat between Ruger and Sophie. Ruger was a sexy, arrogant, dirty man whore who knew how to push Sophie's buttons. His passion and urge to resist her was thrilling and sexy. I loved his bond with Noah, he was such a father figure to him. Now Sophie I totally loved this chick, because for me she was a fighter, she matched Ruger and was always upfront with him on his inability to keep it in his pants, while wanting to claim her. Sophie was tough and independent, knowing what she wanted and admitted when she was weak, she respected herself and what I loved about Ruger was that even though he refused to commit to her solely he never treated her the way he treated other woman. Their relationship was hot and I loved Ruger's temper and caveman attitude towards Sophie. My only complaint is that I would like to have read more of their hea. A brilliant hot sexy biker read, that thrusts you into the mc world of the Reaper's and their raw passion to protect their loved ones. I totally loved the lead up to Em and Hunter's story, no hesitation here, reading it right now!

'Reapers Forever, Forever Reapers!'
‘The man was like heroin – seductive, addictive, and a damned good way to wake up dead.’ - SophieAh, there ain't nuthin' better than taking a fictitious ride into unchartered territory with a notorious Motorcycle Club and coming out of it unscathed and hotter than a bit-ch in heat...throw me a bone here because I'm just begging for more! What is it about these territorial bad boys…these leather clad one percenters who play by their own rules, live a life of underground crime and have no misconceptions of taking what they feel is rightfully theirs, that has me and my fellow MC book lovin' sisters swooning with envious desire? I can only assume it dates back to those Neanderthal days when we secretly loved to be pulled around by our hair and grunted at… 'me man, you woman’, yada yada yada. Well, whatever it is, I can't seem to get enough of it and trust me when I say, these boys from Idaho know how to get my engine revvin. Patch me in baby and lets ride because I just love these guys. Picnic, Horse, BAM BAM, and Rugar are back and WOW, Joanna Wylde certainly did not disappoint with this sequel!Rugar and Sophie's story was so refreshing because the main focus here, besides having the serious hots for one another, is the welfare of a 7 year old little boy addicted to Skylanders (Oh... how I can relate, you have no idea).Walking in on the moment Sophie lost her virginity on his worn couch is not something he has forgotten easily, especially as it was also the moment she got knocked up by his little deadbeat Half Brother. Pulled together by circumstance, all it took was one night by the side of the road to change everything. If there is anything Rugar loves more in this world than the Reaper MC it is Noah, Sophie and Zach's little boy. With Zach shirking his parental responsibilities, Rugar steps in and plays the Uncle role perfectly, but it's hard seeing the girl, who at only 17 held him tight and put her trust in him, clung to him as if he was her only life line. Sophie got under his skin that night, but when she ups sticks and leaves Idaho and moves to Seattle to embrace the trials of single parenthood a couple of years later, he knows that following her is an impossibility - his home is here with the Reapers MC. So, he visits occasionally, as and when he can, while keeping an eye from a safe distance. That is until one night, five years later, when Noah makes a distress call to his Uncle and Rugar decides to close the distance and take matters into his own hands, the only way he knows how... And he's not taking no for an answer.Reapers Legacy is a great book, it would have been a solid five but Sophie's inability to make up her damn mind gave me serious bouts of whiplash and I felt like slapping her! I also felt it was a little tamed down on the angst factor, I would have liked just a little more where that came from. However, Sophie's marguerita lovin' friend Kimber was a total riot and gave me a good chuckle or two and I can't end this review without mentioning Rugar again, throughout it all he was my champion - pure sinfully wicked bikerlicious! And, (nope...not quite finished) - getting reacquainted with Marie and Horse felt just like coming home. All in all, a brilliantly constructed standalone read with some amazing characters. They may be scary in their own way but they've got heart, and they have just taken a piece of mine! Can't wait for the next one...our girl Em deserves a piece of the action and Hunter has his work cut out. Bring it on, I say!Reapers Forever, Forever Reapers!Read and Reviewed for Perusing Princesses Blog

Too good for words!!!!
Well after being blown away by Reaper’s Property, I was wondering how much of an impact this second instalment would have on me and I’ll tell you…. THIS BOOK IS BLINKIN’ AMAZING!!!!!I loved the first sentence, I read it and said to myself “yeah, bring it on”. I was turning the pages on my kindle so fast I thought it was going to overheat although I’m surprised the story itself didn’t cause it to go up in flames a time or two.If there was ever a book that warranted more than 5 Stars then this is it. Joanna Wylde has created an amazing series with fabulous characters and I am so addicted to it that I’m shaking with anticipation for the next instalment.Reaper’s Legacy is the story of Ruger and Sophie. We were teased about Ruger in Reaper’s Property but after finishing this story, Ruger to me will now simply be known as “his holy hotness”. He is crude, rude and deliciously moreish and so sexy. Sophie is the mother of his step-brother’s son. Zack and Sophie were teenage lovers and after getting pregnant at 16, Sophie soon realised that Zack wasn’t going to accept responsibility for their mistake. Sophie loved being a mother though and despite being so young tried her damnedest to raise her son to the best of her abilities.Ruger has been in Sophie’s life since walking in on her and Zack in bed in his apartment and he realises then that he has strong feelings for his step-brother’s girlfriend. After being called to assist Sophie when she goes into labour, Ruger feels responsible for her and Noah. Sophie too has held strong feelings for Ruger from the outset but she believes that he dislikes her and his abrasive personality does little to tell her otherwise. After using Ruger in the past to provoke Zack though, Sophie believes that her chances with him are lost forever. But are they…After an incident involving Noah, Ruger takes things into his own hands and tries to take over control of Sophie’s life. Sophie is not keen on life in a MC Club though and is hesitant to commit herself to this lifestyle. The sparks between Ruger and Sophie are electric and the story continues with them coming to terms with their feelings for one another.Through this welcome return to Reaper’s MC you get to reacquaint yourself with Horse and Marie, Picnic, Painter and the rest of the crew. This book builds nicely towards Em’s story though and I can’t wait to see where her journey takes her. This book is part of a series and should be read in order. It does have a HEA and there’s no cliff-hanger.

Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant
This book deserves 6 stars, it's that brilliant. I thought this book was better then then the first, and I don't usually say that.Ruger is a member of the Reapers MC, and his step brother Zack is the father of Ruger's nephew Noah. Sophie is a single.mum, but over the 7 years, Ruger is in Noah 's life. After an incident with Noah and his sitter while Sophie is at work brings Ruger and Horse to Sophie 's apartment. Ruger brings the two of them back with him to live in his basement. (Which is like a mini apartment)Sophie learns about the MC and the 'old ladies' and there way of life. She is up and down about the lifestyle and is more concerned about her growing feelings of Ruger.Again there is drama, sex scenes and a run in with the rival MC Devil Jacks. The epilogue is 5 years later, but there are still some unanswered questions. If there is a next book I'm guessing it will be between the 5 years. In the prologue it starts with Sophie losing her virginity, then Sophie giving birth, which shows the relationship between Sophie, Zack and Ruger. It is very well written that scene absolutely funny. It's written in the 3rd person but from either Sophie 's pov and Ruger's pov. This book made me laugh and wince. In the beginning Ruger was very dominant and very pushy. And I wanted Sophie at times to tell him to take a run and jump. But then when you read the book more and understand the MC you become aware of why they ALL (Reapers) are like that it.But then there is a change and the dynamic changes andWhen Sophie finally decides (SPOILER ALERT) she wants nothing to do with Any of the Reapers, including the old ladies, which also means Ruger she is very stuck in the mud. As a mother myself I understand why she made that choice, but I love Ruger and I felt for him because he really loves Noah and really cares for Sophie. It is wonderfully written and I couldn't put it down. I would so recommend this book. Omits a great buy and what's more, it's a book I would defiantly read again.I hope there is another book as there are more Reapers in the club.

ANOTHER GOOD READ
The second book in this series features another member of the Reapers MC Ruger. Eight years previously Ruger's half brother Zach got a teenaged Sophie pregnant, they married but it soon became clear that Zach was a loser. Leaving Ruger to step in whenever Sophie and her son Noah needed help.Present day and Ruger discovers that Sophie and Noah are living in a run down apartment, he demands that Sophie bring Noah and come and live with him. There's an undeniable attraction between the two of them, but they keep their distance for Noah's sake. When they can no longer resist and give in to their passion Ruger puts forward a proposition to Sophie that she cannot accept, I didn't blame her at all for that. She decides that a relationship with Ruger would never work. Plus he's the biggest manwhore going.I liked this story, even though it wasn't quite as good as the first book IMO. I liked Ruger even though he was totally sexist. I understood Sophie's reluctance to get deeply involved with him. But, it annoyed me that she melted every time he was near, she didn't seem able to stick to her guns. I'm also never keen when the heroine is intimate with brothers. But that's a personal peeve. There's plenty of action and hot love scenes. Characters from the previous book feature as well. I particularly liked Em she stood out for me and I can't wait to read her story which is next. All in all another solid read.
