Wonderful, quick read!
I got a Kindle and was in search of something new to read, and a friend recommended this book to me. It was relatively short, and I thought it would be a good book to start my Kindle experience with. And it was! I got my Kindle at about 2pm today, unboxed it before dinner and finished this book earlier tonight. I personally couldn't put it down.I was attending the University of Texas when Cole was killed. And I was at he 44 point game. Honestly, at that time, I had little idea of the significance of the game I witnessed. After finishing the book, I felt like such a fool for not thinking about it back then. So this story touched me on a slightly personal level, though I never met or in anyway really knew Cole. It just feels like it happened in my home town. Before I started reading, my thoughts were "how good can this be, what are the odds Cole's dad has any ability to write a book that is easy to read?" I was impressed. There are very encouraging ideas and concepts in this book that I look forward to implementing in my own life.I definitely recommend this one!

Essential reading for fathers of sons!
My husband was given this book by his father when we were struggling to juggle two babies and a very stressful career. It could not have come at a better time. I truly believe this book was an answered prayer. He loved it so much he bought 20 copies to give to every dad he knows. The conversations I have heard between my husband and his friends regarding this book have been nothing but positive and, I dare say, life-changing. Every father, especially those of sons, needs to read this book!

One for all parents
I read this book many years ago, and loved it so much, I gave it to my husband, who is the father of our boys. Being a sensitive man, he found the storyline difficult, but very enriching to his relationship with our then young teen boy. That boy is now in college and we find the separation hard to live with, but, having had the father/son relationship strengthened by the message in this amazing true story of love and loss to be a foundational aspect of the roles we play as parents. The lessons found here are incredibly worth the box of kleenex. My husband loves this message so much, and believes in its strength, that he has purchased this book for anyone who has a child.

Marc Pittman's testimony, revelations and life lessons will forever change your relationships w/ your children ...
Every father should read this, no matter the age of his children. I will never look at my kids the same way and I sincerely thank Mr. Pittman for the new perspective his book gave me. It will make you laugh and cry but, most important, it will force you to evaluate and reflect on how you're impacting the lives of your children and those around you. Kudos to Mr. Pittman for turning something horrible into something great (a major theme in the book) - for anyone who reads this book.

Buy it for the Father of a Son
Great story. A little hokey at times but there are also some great moments and ideas that will help ANY father, especially one that is raising a son. You likely won't agree with all of it but 90% of the book I found to be great. It's a very easy read - less than 200 pages - maybe 60-90 minutes. I bought a dozen and gave them out to friends, employees and coaches. They have all responded with similar opinions. If you take nothing else from the book - introduce the "Dead Man's Talk" into your relationship with your children.

Great Read!
A friend let me borrow this book while we were doing a medical mission trip and I didn't have time to finish it. Therefore, I downloaded the Kindle version to finish the last half. What an awesome read. I'm a father of two little boys (1.5 year old and 3 years old) and really appreciated the relationship that this father had with his two sons. I especially appreciated the "love wars" idea and plan to put that into practice with my two boys...and my wife! I would recommend this book to any parent!

Great book!!!
This is one of the best books have have ever read. I gave out ten books to young men I know that have little children, because I think if they apply some of the methods Marc did with his boys they will have a lasting relationship with their children. I will say this have some tissue handy because you will shed many tears as you read. I highly recommend to any parent or grand parent that desires a close relationship with their children or grand children.
