Great price on a kit with everything I needed.
The old knob was failing, the latch was worn out and even the strike plate lost all the adjustment it could render so I just couldn’t stop all the drafts. I have a pin latch so this kit also had it which made the replacement very easy and not all kits have the latch option and/or they don’t state it or show it in the pics. I’ve installed and/or purchased hundreds of latches, levers and/or knobs over the past 50+ years and this is one of the better kits in the under 30-bucks category I’ve seen based on initial impressions… only time will tell of longevity and finish but, for now, no complaints. I did install it as a replacement but the template is included for a door slab or a pre-hung that isn’t drilled. The handles are also reversible and the little tool to do so is included. I have five more exterior doors so there will be some more changes forthcoming. As our hands and wrists age we find it much easy to use a lever style than turning a knob… I can open a door by pushing down with an elbow or up with a knee so no more putting something down first. I also like that’s it’s just as easy to use it with either hand. It covered the marks on my steel door from the previous latch and was a very close match to the deadbolt I did not replace. This type of handle was often called a Lido but I see “lever” is the more common one now. Though easily reversible it came in the configuration that I needed. It’s a straight handle so no need to flip it over as you would have to do with a curved handle. It may be called a “Basic” but this is a pretty decent entry lockset and certainly up there with most others in the residential category that can retail for triple the cost. There are a few issues and one is the finish which appears to be painted over brass because I have some showing through on the first day of use on the strike plate. Most knobs have a little play in them but it’s not so noticeable because your turning it and it’s just hard to see. With a lever, that little movement is much more noticeable because even with you hand on the lever you can see the tip drop down a bit before it starts to engage the latch. You can wiggle it up & down a bit with nothing happening so the first impression is that the lever is loose but it’s rather just more noticeable than with a knob. If you prefer to have absolutely no movement you’ll be moving up quite a bit in the price ranges and you really don’t gain all that much more for it unless it just happens to annoy you. Lastly, it wasn’t quite a perfect fit on all fronts and I had to drill a bit deeper for the pin latch; the strike plate didn’t align with existing holes so it had to be moved up; and the plate that covers the pin sticks out a bit too far but it’s a steel door so I have to live with it. New sets give you now play around because the escutcheon plates are now seem to be the bare minimum in diameter so I’ve even had to buy some back plates to cover some gaps. Since things didn’t line up with existing holes there wasn’t quite enough wood left to start a new one so to move the strike plate over a bit I had to go with longer screws… and the ones that come with this are woefully short. However, for 14-bucks I would be hard pressed to find much fault with it if it works and the keys fit. I’m not looking for an entry set that will absolutely prevent someone from getting in to the point they become aggravated and break some expensive glass… just to make it inconvenient and perhaps they’ll just go away. It’s a basic lever set and not a fashion statement nor a highly rated home entry deterrent so, for the price, it gets 4-stars. If you need more security piece of mind then moving up to a commercial grade made be a better option. Chances are pretty good it will not be a perfect match for a replacement and some extra work will be needed but for a new install it should be a little cleaner. My steel doors do not all have perfectly cut holes but I prefer not to try to make them so because it just leaves more to cover-up. An issue with these (I’ve also purchased several in different designs/colors) is that the backset adjustment on the latches is fixed at either 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" and sometimes you just need something in-between and better sets will often have a floating setback that’s established by where the lockset is positioned… and that fixed position is why my latch pin cover sticks out a bit too far. Mine was “Made in the Philippines”.

Quality door handle.
What can I say, there is not much to tell. The product is great and it works. The design is modern and the texture is feels good. It is very tough feel, when you turn the handle it feels like good qualities and smoothly in action. Best buy for your buck. Give it a try, if you don't like it just return it. The only con for me is since one door is changed now i have to change all my other doors to have a uniform door handle look.

Easy to use
Completely surprised by this product. It was actually really nice looking and sturdy and easy to install. I decided I wanted this for my interior garage door contenting the kitchen to help me open the door easier if my hands were full. I have a dead bolt ontop of that handle so it wasn’t a big deal that it didn’t have a lock.

Great value for price but came with a scratch * UPDATE-Amazon is sending us a new knob*
As soon as I received these I installed them. I was impressed right away. They are very easy to install, and came with different size face plates. The look and feel of them is similar to a high priced doorknob. They seem sturdy, however, my only issue was that when I went to put the last handle on, it had a small, but very visible, scratch on it. (See photo)I am now a little concerned about how easily these might scratch after some use. I also am not happy that a brand new product came like this. I do not see any way it would have been scratched in shipping. It had to be packaged like this.I needed these right away so I really didn’t want to take it all back off and box it up to return it. I will reach out and see if I can possibly get a replacement handle.Otherwise, I am initially impressed on day one. I will update as I resolve this issue and as I see how they hold up over time.**UPDATE-Amazon immediately shipped us a new knob without returning the scratched one because I had installed it and was using it already. It will be here in two days. I will see how these hold up after some use and update again later.**

Impressed with how nice it is
I have tried a few amazon basic stuff and most have turned out great and great for the price. This door handle works great and looks very nice as well. Figures, amazon basic handle looks nice, is sturdy, and great value for its price, compared to a set of high brand handle I ordered for my front door, the paint chipped and peeled away after a few months and was $$$$$$. So ya, I would order this again. Only thing I noticed, was when I installed it and if you screw the handles together to much the handle part doesn't move right, but easy fix if you adjust the screws.

Not great quality
I bought these to save some money on replacing all the door knobs in my house. First one was great, second on had a scratch on it, third one the knob/lever pulled off in my hand when I tried to open the door. I got it to snap back on and seemed to stay, but figured why should I pay for poor quality? How long would they truly last? So I returned all that I had bought and then bought Schlage, which is what I should have done in the first place. Live and learn.

Great quality for price but this design its too sharp and uncomfortable in the hand.
Great quality for price but this design its too sharp and uncomfortable in the hand. It feels like you are grabbing the blade of a butter knife to open your door. Looks great, but doesn't feel great in the hand. The resistance is much harder than other door levers, which I like, but doesn't combine well with the sharp edges of the lever. I will definitely buy this brand, but with a more rounded lever design.

Super easy to install
Bought this as a less expensive alternative to the Kwikset Delta handles we've installed in the rest of the house. We had a couple of rooms that we wanted to add locking handles to, and these are perfect. Removing the old (non-locking) handles) and installing these Amazon replacements took a small screwdriver and about 10 minutes. I didn't even have to unfold the excellent instructions as the Amazon Basics Cambridge Lever slid right in.Quality appears to be excellent and well made. And you can't argue the price difference between the $19 Amazon product vs the $31 Kwikset product!
