Synthrapol by Jacquard, Industrial Strength, Ph Neutral Detergent, 1 Quart

After doing some research, I bought this to pre-wash shirts to tie-dye and then for the post-wash. My kids typically get me a kit for my birthday, just for something fun to do together. After using this soap, the colors saturated and locked in noticeably better than ever before. Definitely worth the investment, as the results were terrific!

Used this along with citric acid to dye 100% Peruvian wool yarn. Was the best price I have seen for a 32oz bottle.

I own a vintage clothing store and clean a lot vintage pieces—specifically ones that are prone to or do dye bleed. My main and only usage for this product is discourage that process. This is the best brand. I’ve tried other brands and they don’t work. My success rate with this synthrapol is much higher. Some dye bleeds happen but I am able to clean more thoroughly and avoid those issues with this product. A must have

I had some hand dyed fabric that was still turning the wash water royal blue after 3 washings. As a last effort to save my investment in this rather expensive fabric, I decided to try Synthrapol. One wash and no more bleed. It felt like a miracle, but I'm pretty sure it's just chemistry. Whatever, it worked and now I have a solution for problems with fabrics that bleed.

Good product. I use it as directed when using PROCION dyes, and it seems to work fine, but it is still necessary to go through 3-4 wash cycles to get ALL of the dye out of a freshly batch.

There not much of a scent and it certainly doesn't linger. It's hard to know if it's the dyes or the detergent, but it's not bad. A little goes a long way, a good value. Works well for multicolor batiks.

I love this product. It keeps my finished quilts from bleeding. After I have completed making my quilt I wash with Synthrapol and then I’m ready to gift my quilt.
