DynaTrap DT700 Outdoor Insect and Mosquito Trap UV LED, Atrakta Lure, 1/4 Acre, Black

I bought my first one of these August 2019. I thought the fan stopped working this week, but after opening it, I found a little lizard stuck in the fan. I removed it and the unit works fine again. The only down side to this unit is it does not immediately kill the bugs and the door that is supposed to close so the live ones can't escape is usually stuck from dead bugs stuck all over it. When you take the bucket off the bottom, all the live ones fly out. I put the whole unit into a plastic shopping bag, put it in the freezer for 15 or 20 minutes, and then empty the bucket. That is a small price to pay for the number of bugs and mosquitos it catches!

This bug killer has a 42 day guarantee and I am just a bit past it so I can't return it for a refund however its not very effective at killing bugs. They seem to fly around it and some fly out of the unit. I bought a bug zapper that does zap and makes noise with the purple light and it does a much better job. In fact, now that I got a new and different zapper, the bugs at night have pretty much disappeared. I had this bug zapper on my deck since we go out there a lot and there were always bugs still flying about that it was to much to go out there and sit. Now that I got a different zapper, there are no problems sitting on the deck at night with bugs and getting bit or them flying in your face. I do not recommend this zapper.

Works well - no “zapping” noise!A bit messy when cleaning out, but overall very pleased.

It really does seem to work here in Michigan where we have lots of mosquitos and flies. The patio is much more pleasant.As others have noted it does not kill the bugs. It contains them. So cleaning is kind of a swarm experience.

Liked but still have some mosquitos around?

The LEDs are not bight and I think the older Dyan traps work a lot better

I love this thing. Put in the back yard and we have had very few bugs. Even mosquitoes. The entire back side of our property is wooded and bugs are always a problem. The pic is after about 10 days.

Catches a lot of moths, but catches mosquitos too.
