Impress Press-on Nails By Broadway Nails-bipd270 / One Shine Day

I am a professional piano player, but I like nice nails. I never was able to wear any over-the-counter fake nails because they were too long and I couldn't work in them. And you older ladies might remember the old school kind of press-ons: the ones that fell off within a few hours? My own nails are great, but by the time I file and smooth them, use cuticle oils every night, and get two or three coats of polish on them ---- I just couldn't be bothered with all that work. These are the answer to a dream! First, they look just like my own nails after I've put all that energy into them. Second, they are the perfect length right out of the box. I can work in them and don't have to think about them. I'm on my fourth week with the same set, and still going!Here's the trick: It will take a little time to figure out the right one for each finger. I dump the whole thing out (there are about 24 in each box of varying sizes.) and line them up in size. Make sure you follow the directions exactly. They suggest you go a little smaller than your own nail. That's good advice, because it insures that when you do something silly like using your fingernail as a tool, you'll be putting pressure on your nail and not the press-on. Try them on until you have found the right ones. This is the longest part of the process.You older ladies: there's an "accent nail" included for the young-at-heart. I am not that person, but I can still easily assemble a set without using the "accents". Make sure your own nails are very clean, and it does help to gently use an orange stick to push back cuticles. Use the cleaning pad enclosed as the last step. The adhesive works with pressure, so you have a tiny bit of wiggle room to tuck them gently close to the cuticle and straight. If you start by lining up the cuticle part, it seems to go better. Then press, as they suggest, from the middle of the nail out.I can't rave about these enough. And they do, you older ladies, come in more demure colors as well as French manicure. They seem pricey, but when you consider you will have them for 10 days (as my daughter says) or four weeks, as has been my experience, and you like looking polished without sitting in a manicurist's chair and paying their prices, this can't be beat!

The nails sent did not match the picture shown. I would not have purchased plain white nails without the glitter as pictured had I known. The mails themselves are impress quality and met expectations in that regard- they just don’t look the same as advertised.

I did not receive the color pictured. I use kiss impress nails all the time and I love them! However, after using them for some time by now I realized that this is a problem with the kiss nail company, they use the same name for new colors and designs. This is an old picture of the color 'one day shine' nails, the company has since changed the color but used the same name for the new color. I wish they didn't do that, this has happened to me with several other nails I've ordered thinking I'll get one color and I received a totally different color but it had the same name as a different design.

I heard from a friend that these nails were the best kept secret and I agree!! I did not expect them to last or make it through lots of sweating doing Bikram Yoga! 11 days later, I'm writing a review! The only thing that bugs me is that they get stuck in my hair and pull my hair if I run my fingers through my hair. That starts on day 2. They don't quite feel like your own nails like salon gel nails do but I bought mine for $6 and am more than pleased. The longest part was deciding which nail fit my finger better, as you do get lots of choices. They recommend going smaller rather then larger on each nail and I agree with that as well. Remember to clean & file your nails first, then use the alcohol pad provided to get the remaining natural oils off of your natural nails and lastly make sure that you use the peel off part of the nail towards your body then press them on from the center towards the outsides of your nail. Repeat the pressing for 1/2 of an hour to have extended wear. Don't get them in water or cut/file them for an hour after. I haven't taken them off yet, but will update when I do. I hope that they are as easy to get off as they were to get on. Cheers!
