I am not a seamstress by any means, but I bought some very lightweight fabric to make a table skirt for a computer desk at school. I knew if I didn’t add something to the hem, it would constantly be blowing around in the breeze from my fans. One quick Amazon search later brought me to this product, and with the help of a friend with an iron, I was able to make a no-sew table skirt that hangs perfectly. I just pre-measured and ironed my hem line, put a length of these hem weights in, and used stitch witch to fuse the hems.

I used this product to weigh down a fabric decoration that I hung outside. It was the right weight and size and I thought it was good value for the price.

This is meant to hold sheers in place. This is no heavy enough to do the job. I need to run 2 ropes through to hold them in place.

I bought this for 94" drapes I was getting ready to hem. Found it easy to cut, and you can seal the ends by holding the end near a small flame to start to melt the threads and then pinch sealed. Was not too heavy.

I needed a weighted cord to straighten my sheers, but this had no effect plus was very visible and ugly. I gave it 5 starts for Light Weight, but why would you want a weighted cord to be light weight????

I got these to weigh down some sheer curtains that had no weights on the bottom. The weights are so light that they still don't weigh the curtains down as much as I'd like. They do work to add some weight to the bottom and I like that I can put the string along the bottom of the curtain and it's hidden. If you have anything other than sheer curtains, chances are they will be too lightweight to be useful, but for a nice, light sheer they should work well.
