Works great and looks good
Replaced in bulb housing without issue. Works great and looks good. Only thing I'm a little sick over is I kind of feel I got false info. The bulb I got is a shp75 not the shp87 in ad. I looked up the shp75 and you can find them for 10 to 15 dollars cheaper than here. Was a good deal for the 87 but the 75 is cheaper. Also it has exposed terminals on the bulb. Not a big deal but seems better quality when it's all covered in ceramic. Also I could never find my 65hm167 on the shp75 compatible list. And one website says the 75 is a 2000 hour bulb and moreFor projector.but it's still a 150 watt. All in all though it's only been one night but it does have a good pic and the brightness is really good. Hopefully it will stand the test of time. My last bulb was a shp109 and lasted 3 yrs of 20 hours a day. TV is in bedroom and on all day and all night basically.

OEM Bulb
update: this bulb lasted 14 Months. Not what i expected. Jul 31, 2016.Fit perfectly into the original housing. Picture is brighter than the non-oem bulb i had in there before. This is a fully enclosed bulb so no fear of getting glass all over the place if it blows.Update: Purchased in June of 2013 and it blew today on May 10th 2015. Since it was fully enclosed there was nothing to clean up. Original bulb lasted 4 years but it is twice the price if purchased directly from OEM.I am still happy with purchase and plan to order another today if i can find it.Note that I purchased the entire assembly and not just the bare bulb but my review is shown under the bare bulb item and it was sold by Shopjimmy and not the seller shown under this listing.

Amazing bulb that brought new life back to my TV
I have a Toshiba 62MX196. This bulb I received was not the SHP87, but the SHP75. Even though the bulb was different, it still works. Installation was a breeze (there are even included instructions). After putting the new bulb in the housing and into the TV, it started up immediately. The colors and whites are amazing now. Before, they were were washed out. The seller also includes a return label (prepaid) for recycling your old bulb.

Installed this over a month ago and so far has worked flawlessly. It was pretty easy to change it DIY so if your considering doing it - do it. It will save you $$$ from paying a repair man for so simple a repair job. Directions came with the bulb but there are better ones out there - just use any search engine to find.

Expected better
The bulb appears to be an authentic Phoenix bulb. However, after installing it my picture is extremely bright and adjusting the TV settings (brightness, contrast, bulb temp, etc) doesn't help at all. Before this bulb, brightness was never an issue. The description states this is a Philips bulb. It's manufactured by Phoenix, not Philips.

While not an "exact" OEM replacement bulb it is pretty darn close to what I used to be able ...
While not an "exact" OEM replacement bulb it is pretty darn close to what I used to be able to buy from Toshiba which seems to have been discontinued now. I have had some concerns about buying replacement style bulbs for my Toshiba DLP TV after having blown hundreds on what where supposed to be OEM replacements from other sources (and they all only lasted weeks or months) but this one so far seems like the real deal. As always I made sure to completely clean the internals of the TV with canned air focusing on the fans and around the light engine. This bulb so far, after about a week of use is very bright, has the correct color temperature compared to the OEM Toshiba (verified with my Spyder color meter) and starts immediately every single time.Proper handling and installation is extremely important for these bulbs as they cannot be touched by human skin, as the microscopic amount of oil deposited will boil and crack the glass, killing your lamp.

Lasted 2 1/2 Years!
This bulb lasted the longest.Purchased 8-20-2016 and lasted until 3-7-2019 which is over 2 1/2 years and the TV is on every day for 10-15 hours at the brightest setting. I knew the bulb was nearing its end, because it was getting dimmer over the last 2 weeks. When it popped the cat jumped straight up off my lap and gave me a "what the hell was that look".The bulb before this one lasted almost 2 1/2 years. I keep one bulb as a backup because I have only one TV. I have been very satisfied with this brand and this supplier. I just ordered another replacement bulb for when this one fails. Bare Bulb, Toshiba Phoenix SHP87, Y66-LMP, sold by Exclusivebulbs.

Five Stars initially, only lasted 5 months though
very bright and clean lightedited March 16th 2016: It only lasted less than 5 months and it wasn't used that heavily, ~10 hrs/week use. It started getting dim about 2 weeks before it popped tonight. I ordered from Exclusivebulbs, now I'll see if they honor their one year warranty or not.
