Solid grip on both rack and cymbal arm. Adjustable. Gibraltar should have made this years ago so I didn't have to buy their clamp, a mount, and a cymbal arm just to mount a cymbal. Down side is that cymbal arms might not be long enough if your rack is really low, or if you like your cymbals way up high. But for me this was a god send and it reduced the amount of weight I carry in my case... Verdict: Works for me!

I absolutely LOVE this snare stand! It allows me to easily position the snare just about anywhere I want it to be, and there are NO legs to get in the way of my double-pedal. I would buy this over & over again!

Nothing I dislike. It’s heavy it’s metal and super strong and easy and fast to install. I will replace all my plastic clamp with this for my Alesis surge electric drum set. Mannnnnn this is awesome bling. I’ll say why I broke original plastic. I was so drunk I fell on it. Ahahaha this is so strong due to metal. Will buy more. On a Traps drum kit that had seen some student activity, we realized that the somewhat unique right-angle clamp that connected the 1.5" vertical tube to the 7/8" snare drum support rod had cracked. At first I tried to find an exact replacement, but had no success.When I spotted this, I got excited about the possibility of improving the rig instead of merely replacing what had been there before. I think it's a reasonable assumption to see the snare as seeing more different kinds of activity and pressure than, say, the toms on any kit.Replacing plastic with cast metal always gives me a good feeling, and the fit of both diameters in this item is spot on for my particular situation, but it offers a good range of diameters on both clamps, so I figure it'll solve quite a few different problems.Built like a tank, I think the rest of the kit could eventually turn to dust and this joint would still be lying there, looking the same as the day I got it...

This is the mother of all clamps. Very sturdy and stable. My e-kit has the snare mounted on a horizontal bar that's only secured on one end. This is common for a lot of e-kits and it is a terrible design. The plastic clamp that held it really wasn't doing the job anymore and I was getting a lot of sag on the snare support. This clamp solved the problem perfectly. No more saggy snare.

Solid, as usual in my experience with Gibraltar. The hinge style is great for relocating/removing. It is a bulky piece but it's form and function is well managed. These add a nice bling factor as well. I use quite a few of these on two different rack configurations I have, also with a few of the wing nut version. These add a nice bling factor, and look great against black multi clamps too.

I’ve had it hooked up to my rail system for about 3 weeks now, and it works perfectly. There is no wobble or springboard effect. What’s especially nice about this legless snare stand is it extends to 26”, unlike the DW model and it’s half the cost.
