I have half a dozen ukuleles (soprano to baritone) hanging with these hooks and they're doing great. I didn't bother with the sheetrock screwn anchors, which I think a person should do if they're hanging anything heavier than a uke, but these installed easily and are holding my ukuleles very well. The arms could be considered a bit long, I suppose, but on the few times I've had to double-up and put two ukes in the same holder, I've been glad for their length and I honestly don't notice "hey, those are kinda long" at all, because I feel the ukes are SAFE when the arms are long enough to hold the instrument. I'd buy these again (and probably will, as I seem to - somehow - keep accumulating ukuleles!) Great product, great service, fantastic price. Total WIN, in my book!

Seems to be very sturdy. Not sure why other reviews say the drywall anchors are junk. I'm guessing they dont understand how drywall anchors work. Not sure why else they would say how they just pullout. You arent supposed to stop screwing when the screw is flush, you keep screwing down to expand the anchor on the other side of the drywall and that's what holds it in place while spreading the load. Just make sure the hole is very tight for the anchors to be installed. I had to lightly hammer mine into place, as you dont want your anchors to be loose. Mine are holding my heavy ibanez iron label without any drywall tearout or flex on the wall and no flex on the mount at all. The back of the mounts are hollow on the back but they seem very sturdy and not thin. Bought these specifically for the adjustable holding arms so I can hang my Fender TC90 with the tele syle headstock. It's not very heavy but a tele headstock is very thin.

for some reason this hanger slipped over its own screws and caused my Stratocaster to crash down to the floor, hitting a desk on the way down.... maybe only use this for a guitar that doesn't way as much as an actual guitar.
