Monster High Catty Noir Doll

Beautiful. This is my first Monster High doll, so I had no idea what to expect. I didn't buy her to use as a toy, or to play with; I wanted her as a visual figurine, because that's how attractive this doll is in person. I bought her with the intention of displaying her, so with that in mind...Pros: Gorgeous design, a high amount of detail, and with the flowing dress and tall boots she has a striking silhouette. Definitely one of the most eye-catching MH dolls I've seen. Seems you either like her style or you don't - and I love it. She has her own personality, and the booklet she comes with (a faux journal of diary entries) is surprisingly endearing, even for a cynical grown-up like me. She comes with a stand to display her; it has a transparent bar that seems to vanish, which is perfect for such a colorful doll. She doesn't look picture-perfect when she comes out of the box, but save for a few tangled strands of hair (her long hair gets a little messy at the bottom), I was surprised with how display-ready she was.Cons: For such a visually striking figure, I'm not thrilled with my options for displaying her. She can make dramatic and fun poses, but there's no way (straight from the box, that is) to display her in any position except for standing straight up. Her stand isn't very strong and it can't support much weight, so if she's tilted or leaning she'll fall over. Her feet can't touch the bottom of it, which would've helped a lot with stability. I've managed to pose her with one leg slightly bent for a little bit of style, but I can't do much else without feeling like she'll tip over, which is disappointing for a 'rock star'.Also, the packaging. Can we talk about the packaging? I can't imagine a small kid being able to pull her out of the box without ripping her hair and tearing her dress, or who knows what else. I understand that it's important to keep her looking presentable in the box, but the way they go about this feels unnecessary. It took me roughly 20 minutes to remove her from her box, with small-tip scissors to carefully extract her from the several ties binding her to it - including tape that caught a few strands of her hair. There are better ways to do this, Mattel. I collect figures, and I've never seen such a puzzling series of small ties and strings everywhere.Besides my gripes, I was very impressed with Catty. So impressed I just bought another Monster High doll.

I saw this doll while I was out shopping one day and I decided not to buy her. I regretted that choice because apparently she is a rare doll since after that I couldn't find her anywhere. When I finally thought to check Amazon I was please to find her for a lot cheaper than the store where I saw her originally.She is an awesome doll and pictures don't do her justice. She is a black cat who is covered in broken mirror and the number 13 accessories. She is easily one of the coolest Monster High dolls I've seen and I'm so happy that I found her for my collection. Added bonus: She arrived at my house on Friday the 13th! :)

My daughter is a avid Monster High doll fan and adores all the dolls. This like all the rest of the dolls, is artfully done and well detailed. The outfits are cool and their a neat twist on a doll. Plus the prices are reasonable as long as you buy them early and don't wait until they become a collector's item which is the case with most of the boy dolls.

The doll came in the typical packaging like what you would buy from the store. It wasn't hard to open. The doll itself is very pretty but there are a few issues I have with it. For starters it's not made quite like a normal "Barbie" doll. It's a bit flimsy. The joints are the doll are tough to move and I feel like I'm going to break it if I try to hard to move her arms. The shoes separate into two pieces and once they have fallen apart (fell apart coming out of the box), They don't stay together very well anymore. Possibly a little glue could help that. She also has a necklace and a microphone. Neither will stay on the doll without the little clear rubber bands that come with it. My daughter doesn't want to lose them so she has agreed to just keep the rubber bands on. Overall the doll is cute and my daughter likes it but I'm not sure it's value is as high as the price being paid for it.

My daughter wanted this doll for her sixth birthday, but I could not find it anywhere in stores so ended up ordering from Amazon and crossing my fingers that it would arrive on time. This doll was everything my daughter hoped it would be!! She LOVES Catty Noir and the dress and hairstyle have stood up to countless hours of rough play. Excellent doll for anyone who loves Monster High!! I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

While it did take me about 15 minutes to get this doll out of the box, it's well worth the wait! She's packaged in such a way that is similar to a display-only collector's doll. Her hair is a wavy magenta ponytail, and her plastic boots snap on and off with pegs. Her shredded skirt is adorned with pink and silver sparkly discs, and she comes with 4 bracelets, a broken mirror 13 necklace, 2 pink hoop earrings and 1 '13' earring. She is an absolutely beautiful doll!

She is stunning. She resembles the earliest mass-produced black dolls but she is the complete opposite of those dolls. She's commanding and fascinating. A wonderful doll and I'm so proud to have her in my Monster High collection. She needs no care out of the box except brushing the back of her hair. Be careful not to cut the clear rubber band that holds the microphone to her right hand. I also have Catrine Demew and wish that her stand was the same style as Catty's because Catrine's tail keeps falling out. There's nothing not to love about Catty.

I purchased this early on Amazon because you will not be able to find it closer to Christmas at a reasonable price. She is beautiful and detailed, the contrast between the hot pink and her skin color----stunning, love all the cat Monster High dolls. My daughter will be happy at Christmas.
