Thetford 31711 Foot Cable

This was ordered for our camper toilet and although a lot things we read said that it would be hard to fix we didn't find it that difficult. Of course all we needed was the cable because our ball popped off of ours but it was easy to fix. We did not take the whole toilet off so all we used was the cable out of this package.

Works good.The instructions say you have to unbolt the toilet and turn it upside down to install the cable.But I was able to install it with the toilet in place without unbolting it.

The cable worked perfect. What I greatly appreciated was the ability to get it on Amazon, and to have it delivered in 2 days to the RV Park we were staying on vacation. Life can be a little complicated without a functioning toilet :-)

I wish they made it clear you do NOT need to take the 4 seat bolts off of the pedestal to fix the cable. You can replace the cable by removing the 2 floor bolts.

We are glad to have our toilet functioning again!

I would not have given you one star but I had too to leave a comment. There were several important parts not in this package so my toilet is sitting in my bathroom floor waiting on the parts to come in. I have no water now in my house because the water is off to work on the toilet. The man on the phone said it will be 2 days before I get the parts. Not happy with!

I have an Aqua Magic V RV toilet. It is kinda poorly designed as the mechanism that causes water to fill and flush requires a lot of tension. This is actuated with a pedal you push down with your foot. After about 2 years, the cable that transfers the foot action to the part at the back of the toilet to flush broke. This cable came with a couple of stoppers which have set screws. Installed and connected everything without taking the toilet out in about 30 mins. Works well again. Is a little pricey for the cable but glad I could do it myself.
