Not at all the shoe they used to be.
I've had three pairs of these before over the last 3 years and they were the best comfiest shoes/slippers I've ever owned. BUT this recent pair I got for Christmas was not padded at all and the sizing was off. It was more like a normal hard soled shoe which was too tight. They should be soft and slippery but still look classy enough to wear to the office and not be questioned. I usually do it all winter. I'm extremely disappointed and I hope that this was a one off mistake. I'll return them for an exchange and find out and update.

These DC Villan slip on's are amazing!
I first came across these in my local shoe stores and found them to be priced between $40 and $50 plus tax. I decided to check on Amazon for kicks and wow was I surprised in a good way at the savings. I saved around $20 plus tax on these skate shoes. I am not a skater but I just like the look and fit of these. My store did not have my size of 11.5 so I was fortunate enough to have Amazon carry my size. This is by far a steal! I could not be happier with the fit and the look. I may even give DC sneakers a fair shake when it comes time to upgrade my sneakers. These are going to be worn around the house when I am not needing to be in my Rockports for work and maybe even do a few errands around town as they have the sole for indoor and outdoor wear. Highly recommended!

Stitching came undone, terrible quality
I bought these for my husband and the stitching along the seam unraveled the second time he wore them. I didn't expect these to last years because I didn't pay too much for them (quality vs price) but I did think they'd last longer than a week. I wouldn't purchase these again.

Great Style, Not so Great Build Quality
(owned for 1.5 years)I bought these because I needed some leather shoes for work. I've owned DC shoes before and have been impressed with their build quality. These held up fairly well for the first 8 months, but then began to pull apart where the upper meets the side at the 9-10 month mark. It wasn't too bad so I sewed it back together and kept using them. Around the 12 month mark they came apart again and I tried to repair them, unsuccessfully. After this I tried to warranty them through DC. By this time though it was just a month or so beyond the year manufacturer warranty, so they couldn't help meIt should be noted my work was in retail sales, so I wasn't being rough on the shoes.I liked the style and how they fit (which seemed very true to size), but I didn't like how they came apart on me. It's too bad or I'd probably pick up another pair.

Very comfortable
This was purchased as a gift but as I hear it is a very nice shoe. He loves it! Although he is not a skater it provides a lot of flexibility as he plays the drums. Several people I know own it and have no complaints, one actually owns several pairs in different colors. Great gift! Would buy again.

Awesome pair of shoes
I have over 8 pairs of these shoes all in different types of colors. They are extremely comfy. They match a lot of types of clothing and even go well with shorts. Convenient since you do not have to lace them just slip them on and enjoy.

to small
the width sizes given are not correct, i ordered a regular shoe and received a narrow width that would not fit. there is not a option for exchange so i have to return wait for a credit and hope there are some in the proper sizes still available, or in other words a HUGE hassle :( wish you better luck if you order this product

From Globe Castro to DC Villain
For the last 10 years, I have owned a few pairs of Globe's Castro. I thought I'd give the DC Villains a try. I have only had these for 2 weeks and so far, the only "1-up" they have on the Globes is that the Villains are more comfortable. Right out of the box, you can tell that they have more cushion. Now, let's see if they hold up as well as the Globe Castros. Finally, let me mention the one thing that is at the top of my priority list: That is the heel support. The reason I decided to give the DC's a try is because, the Globes have no heel support. While the Globes are well-made (sturdy; lasted 10yrs now), they are not a shoe I can walk on for more than an hour. After that, my heels start to hurt from the lack of heel cushion (air/gel support). The DC Villains seem to be more comfortable on the heel, but that may just be that they're still new and I haven't flattened out the heel support. Only time will tell. Hope you found this helpful.
