Great as a Locking Ammo Box
I got this storage trunk to use as a locking ammo case, and it fits the bill beautifully.I have four matching locks on the trunk and feel safe that my kids (4 and 6) will not be able to get into it.The wheels make moving the whole trunk to my truck for transport a snap. The handles help, but this thing is kind of wide for hoisting it up to a truck bed (full of ammo)all by yourself. It's not weather tight, but it kept my ammo dry during a two day downpour. It's not quite stout enough to sit on, but I definitely stack things on it and it holds up well.Great buy for my needs.

Spacious and sturdy!
Very nice indeed! Arrived as scheduled and unharmed, latches are solid, plenty of places to secure it with a padlock, wheels work great, and more spacious than expected. I am very pleased. The only thing that I could possibly have trouble with in the future is if I try to pack it too full and the plastic hinges crack or break. But with normal use I think it should last. I may have to try out some Plano tackle boxes next.

Cheap portable bulk storage
I certainly would try to avoid using this to ship heavy stuff cross country, but they are definitely better than the absolute junk trunks sold in PX's at FOB's overseas as those all broke in some way or another from shipping half-way across the world. And those costs more than these Plano's.I basically use these to store all my military gear and clothing I've amassed from almost 30 years of service, since they stack better and higher than a pile of seabags, and they are infinitely better at accessing its contents than dumping out an entire seabag to locate an item.As many have pointed out, the many molded indentations and groves leaves less usable and irregular interior space. And you have to wait for prices to lower to truly qualify them as "cheap" because they have fluctuated from $30 all the way to almost $70 over the past several years. But for my purpose, they serve their storage role perfectly while easily identifying them amongst a plethora of boxes and storage bins in my attic. If you want something guaranteed to withstand the rigors of shipping, especially into/from a combat zone, then a Pelican or similar brand would be your only other option.

You get exactly what you pay for.
For the very modest price this was listed at, I wouldn't expect a great piece of luggage that would last a long time. Sure enough, this is not a great piece of luggage and it'll probably only last you a few trips. This is the second time I've purchased this exact model, knowing full well its limitations. Why I like the Plano 1819 XXL:-It's the most storage space you can get without having to pay for an oversize bag (provided you keep the contents under the weight limit).-On the the subject of weight - this case is made out of super-lightweight, flimsy plastic. That sounds bad, but for my purposes, it's not. Light luggage means you can carry more without going overweight. I carry a lot of audio gear when traveling for work and overage fees eat into my profits. They use the word "camo" liberally - it's looks more like tie-die or bad spin art. I originally got the black model, but they didn't have any more when I ordered the camo one. I wasn't relishing the idea of sporting camo luggage, but I suppose that'd still be better than a hippy-lookin drug box. Prepare to have your luggage inspected - every time. I made a game of collecting the inspection notices they leave behind and made a collage with them on the interior upper lid.My first case survived 7 international flights and and 5 domestic flights before it was damaged beyond use. Though I would note that the wheels came off after about 1 block of sidewalk. Keep the wheel longer by only rolling this on very smooth, level floors. I probably over-used my first case. The last flight I took it on, it was already cracked and had a couple holes where the case had shattered.Eventually I'll bite the bullet and get a pelican case, though for the same dimensions, that's a Pelican 1650, which is going to set you back a few hundred dollars. You could buy this case 10 times for that price - but this is certainly NOT water proof or durable in any sense of the word, so depending on how much your luggage is worth to you or what kind of insurance you have, money saved might not be money earned.

Ottimo

A tough box
This is alot better quality than the ones you can buy in your local PX that always end up twisting and breaking, Since I've bought this though the lid has cracked but it can still be secured, Also buy some spare wheels if you're going to buy this

Perfect!
I needed a locking case to store ammo and found this one on amazon. It seemed the a good size and it's made by Plano so I figured I'd order it. I'm happy I did. I now have all my ammo safely stored in a locked case that's easy to move around and store.
