This is not an underquilt. It is a sleeping bagel that can be used with your hammock.
I'm a bit disappointed in this product not because of its quality but because of its marketing. I needed an underquilt and got a convertible sleeping bag instead. Having said that, it is of good quality and can be used with a hammock. The fill lofted immediately out of the compression sack and is baffled well to keep any cold spots from forming. Youre going to struggle for a bit to get the suspension just right around the hammock but it's not too obscure. Essentially, it is a sleeping bag that can be unzipped and cinched at the bottom and top to run over a hammock. It's halfway between an uq and a cacoon and doesnt quite measure up to either style of hammock insulation but it is certainly adequate for early fall camping or, as I'm going to use it, an extra layer for camping in colder weather. It is not long enough and too open to work well as a cacoon and the sides ride up really far as an uq. But, for the price, you're not going to get anything that works better. And it can be used as a normal sleeping bag so its earned a spot in my back seat as a "just in case" thing.

Look elsewhere for an underquilt
After trying to use this a dozen times with little success, I decided to give up. I've been doing hammock camping for 5 years now, so I know what works & what doesn't. But this SHOULD work. No matter how I hang it or the weather, it always gets cold spots right in the middle of my back or butt. I really bought this for my son. Thank the goddess I didn't just throw him in it. It may have ruined him on hammock camping for good. On the plus side, makes a decent sleeping bag.

I like it!
I like it. Yes it's a bit heavy. I bought a small compression sack and it does compress down to a manageable size. there was one reviewer that said it was a sleeping bag for your hammock. Yes I found that you can use it that way, but if you unzip it completely it does make a nice under quilt. For the price it's great.

Great underquilt for the price!
I’m not sure what the issues with this underquilt are for some people. But it goes on and off great and covers me full. For the price it’s worth it and better than making the Costco underquilt

Great buy
It worked perfectly! Very lightweight piece of gear. My summer pack stays around 25lbs, so this minor addition to weight is ideal for lightweight hammock campers.

Great for the price.
Good quality kinda heavy but for the price it’s great. It will keep you warm even if it gets wet unlike down.

Best bang for your buck
I took it early fall camping, it was raining and cool out. Stayed warm and comfortable all night.

Needs better instructions
Can't figure out how to connect it to hammock.

Not an underquilt. Very heavy and bulky.
It works as an underquilt, but this is no more than a sleeping bag with drawstrings and cord on each end. Easy to set up, but very bulky and heavy. Not appropriate for backpacking, but will work great for visitors sleeping in my livingroom hammock.

Not appropriate for backpack camping
The stuff sack provided doesn't compress and even if it did this would not be appropriate for back packing. It would be fine for driving up to a campsite and setting up a hammock camp but the reality is that it's just a sleeping bag. Take any sleeping bag and unzip it so it's open on both ends and you have the same thing minus couple draw strings. This sleeping bag is as big as my back pack
