Product Description A young female coach fresh out of college takes over the cross country program at an all girls' Christian school and attempts to lead them to their first ever state title. As the runners begin to train, the top five girls all deal separately with particular issues relevant to teen life. As each of these stories unfold, so does the wisdom of the young coach as she guides the girls along the pathway of life in this inspirational drama. Review Anne and I recommend the movie Remember the Goal to you as fine family entertainment. It has a timely message that will resonate to the athlete and non-athlete alike. The message of judging without knowing all the facts will touch every heart. The Christian life requires perseverance and endurance especially under extreme circumstances. - Jim Ryun 3x Olympian, Silver Medalist 1500m, former multiple WR holder --Jim and Anne Ryan

Very good 'in-between' movie
I got this movie with my Christian, home-schooled granddaughter in mind, and it was a good choice. She hasn't watched it yet, but I did. I am very pleased with how family friendly this is, yet how it addressed real world issues. Some will say it is a little too unrealistic, but I think it works just fine as we raise our kids in a way that gradually introduces them to the world's 'stuff' rather than throwing it at them all at once from a young age. Perfect for tween girls, especially Christians. Public school kids could also benefit, but it may be a bit slow moving for some of them. I'm not sure the Christian worldview will make sense to non-Christian tweens, but it sure couldn't hurt. This 'Christian' movie is better than most similar items I've tried. I recommend giving this one a view!

A great movie for teenage XC runners.
My husband and I watched watched this with our young XC runners. It brought up a lot of conversation topics to talk about as a family ( being a team, drugs, boys, humility, ect). It's more than just a running movie, but if you are a runner it connects you to some really great points for athletes ( important to not overtrain, to stay healthy, pacing is key, ect). You have to ignore some of the acting because it is not top notch as some of the big name actors. However, there are a couple of spots that make you giggle, and smile. Overall just a sweet movie.

A Must See!! Perfect Family Movie
Wow wow wow, this was a excellent movie, we LOVED it, as a family we actually started to watch this one time before and turned it off not to far into the beginning because we completely misjudged it. Recently we were recommended this movie and thought we would give it a 2nd chance, there are a lot of movies that claim to be "Christian" or "family movies" that really are not, whoever said a movie needs to be worldly in order to captivate the audience or to be "so called" relevant. "At first", we thought this was about a young high school crush, it turned out to be anything but and not only that, its was completely different than we expected, it kept us engaged, had an awesome message and the Lord was all through out it great movie to watch with your kids, we were very blessed. There is a demand for clean wholesome family movies we would love to see more like this.

Great Movie! And I am not a runner! ;)
Wonderful Movie! I am not a runner, in fact, my philosophy on running is if there's not a wild animal chasing you, why do it? :)However, I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Very family friendly! Wonderful message. I noticed someone gave this movie one star, ranted something about "Christian" movies and life not being this perfect. Either they didn't watch the movie at all or they didn't pay attention. The movie does not portray everything being perfect. There is a lot of conflict in this movie, there is persecution, but there is overcoming conflict and persecution by living by the life and example of Christ.I love the Christiano brother's films. If you're not familiar with them, check out other movies by Dave and/or Rich Christiano. One of my favorites is "Time Changer." Also very good is "A Matter of Faith," "The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry," and "Amazing Love."

Remembering the Goal is the best movie I have seen ever in a long time
I loved the main character of the coach and how she is solid in her faith, cares for those around her, her team, the parents and most of all honoring the Lord with her life. YOu have to watch the movie to see the gems of wisdom and example of grace she portrays as she deals with each unknown thrown at her. She knows how to win the State Championship Cross Country Meet, and for this Chrisitan school for girls, it is a lesson the athletes will never forget. I highly recommend it. I use it for my own motivation and inspiration movie, as a mom and grandmother, to keep my eyes on the goal and not give up. I am very thankful for this movie!!!

Acting was impressive
I was impressed by the acting, especially since most of these girls are newcomers to film as well as running. I admire the hard work they put in, filming all those running scenes in the middle of the summer in intense heat. Those girls are troopers! Allee Sutton Hethcoat did an exceptionally good job as the girls’ coachI know practically nothing about cross country running, but enjoyed watching the training. Afterwards we were talking about the coach’s unique approach to winning and how we could relate to that, This morning I woke up thinking about the whole Remember the Goal concept and applying it to my day. I suspect that it will stick with me and I’ll be applying it to different situations in the future.

Stick with it--SO worth the watch! It had me in happy tears by the end...
The premise of the plot here is simple, and the story unfolds gently...but don't let that fool you. Stick with it--SO worth the watch, and by the end it literally had me in happy tears like few movies have been able to accomplish. Most of the performances were excellent also (and you can tell that the cast trained well to portray the athletic roles with authenticity)! Indie films like this are an encouragement that wholesome entertainment is out there, and stories like this remind me why I ultimately enjoy character-driven dramas over explosions and eyecandy. Don't get me wrong! Action-adventure flicks can be a fun distraction. But heartfelt stories like this one are the ones that will stick with you and inspire you to keep going when the going gets hard. It's like electrolytes for the soul! :)

A wonderfully encouraging film!
As someone living in extremely difficult personal circumstances, I personally found this movie very encouraging. I have watched it several times and each time it still brings me to tears. The story features a first year teacher and coach at a private Christian girls school. She takes over the cross-country team and proceeds to teach her girls not only how to train effectively to achieve their running goals, but also to offer Biblically based counsel to teenagers dealing with dating, drug, friendship, and parent issues and to parents concerning the needs of their adolescent kids. While some will not really go for that, I am deeply grateful to all who had a part in producing this film.

Enjoyable movie
DVD arrived on time and in good condition. The only downside is that the movie doesn't have scene selections, so you will need to watch it all in one sitting (I tried using the skip button but after "skipping" through most of the movie it didn't want to play properly - maybe that depends on the kind of DVD player you have - mine obviously couldn't keep up).
