Brilliant dyes for refilling watercolour pens, ink pads and many other craft projects
The media could not be loaded. I don’t use these for food but These dyes are beautiful saturated colours and great for using to refill ink pads, making sure to dilute with glycerin not water to achieve the colour strength needed. Glycerine sticks to your acrylic stamps much better plus this can also be used for embossing powders. If you want to use full strength it’s great to as they are in glycerine already. For the watercolour pens I found YouTube videos that gave recipes. This dried up green pen was refilled with Equal quantities of pure glycerin and water, the yellow die and the green die. I put 0.5mil of each and mixed them. I would have used a bit of gum Arabic as well. But it got missed out on this one. It’s worth noting that total volume is only 2mil but for mine being the average size pen it was enough to saturate the felt core completely. Anymore will probably make the pen leak. Also in middle of a project using these dyes to make coloured glass fishing float decorations. Again another YouTube tutorial I found. It’s taking a bit of experiment as they have to dry fairly quick but not to hot, not sure if it’s the glycerine content of the dye or the modpodge as some worked better than others but the end result is beautiful when it does! The floats will have led solar powered string lights inside. May as well make them useful and a good alternative to bathroom lights left on forgotten and wasting power! The glass floats project was the reason I bought the dyes but finding lots of other craft uses to. As I don’t like to consume artificial dyes I wouldn’t be using these for food especially as there is no E numbers or proper ingredients list and I certainly wouldn’t give any food to babies with it in but for playdough, slime etc I’d be happy to use for kids projects too. I found The colour does wash off skin easily so that’s not a problem either.

Good Value, Definitely Worth It...
The kids make a lot of slime and my daughter got an 8 pack for her birthday last year (yes, food colouring makes 10-year-olds happy – so odd!) but they have lasted about 8 months now and are near finishing. This was a super big value pack of 18 with really cool colours – although similar in a way ie. Kiwi and clover, grass green are all greens but are still very different shades. This is a set that is going to last a long time and my daughter loves it and a few drops go a long way and can be mixed together to create even more different shades. My only issue is the packaging - it comes in a flimsy cardboard box and once that was opened we had to find storage for them … not a massive issue but it’s nice when something has it’s own place for storage, easy to pick your colour without emptying the entire box, and not me having to find storage for it. Yes, you could leave it in the box it came in but the box wasn’t ideal, not a biggie, just an observation because the overall product is great and just what we needed for slime colouring.

Fit for purpose
I bought these to use to colour water for photo props and they are great colours. They have a good range and I don't really need alot to get the desired colour I want. These little bottles will last me a while so good value for money. I can't really comment on using for food but the colours are perfectly vibrant.

Works!
Used these for a rainbow cake and it works really well! My cakes domed slightly and looked like the colour had gone but when I cut the top bit off you could see the colour of the sponge was amazing. Very happy and so little needed that we have plenty left with 18 in the pack.

Should have paid the extra and gone for the bigger brand
Needed a selection of vibrant colours for my daughter’s birthday cake. Have previously been impressed with Wilton’s gel colourings but seemed to be stretching the budget to get all the ones needed. So tried this set based on the good reviews. Quite disappointed. Colours were not as vibrant as described, and despite adding loads there comes a point when the mix just doesn’t get any brighter. Have had to change the design of the cake to pastel shades as this is all I can achieve with this set. Plus I dread to think how many additives we’ll be consuming with the amount I had to add! On the plus side the bottles are easy to add one drop at a time and mess free. So if you’re not fussed about specific shades, and just want to have fun with colorful baking, particularly with kids, then this would do the trick. Ultimately though I should have paid the extra and gone for the Wilton ones or other known brands.

Amazing colours
We bought these for play dough for my two kids. These are amazing, ones we’ve used before have stained hands and surfaces wen you add a lot for vibrant colours. But these have genuinely non of these issues. We’ve used them in food too and same again no weird taste from the food colouring. Definitely recommend and the colour quality itself is really nice. Parent trick with these 100%

With the large variety of different colours, it's the perfect colour dye package and is edible.
If you are into making your products that need colour then this is the product for. This contains many different colours which will transform your product. When I'm talking about products I'm talking about making your own Soaps/Candles/Bath Bombs/Lay Dough/Lotions and Slime if you're into that.Due to the Water Solubility, liquid soap dye would bleed and fade in Melt and Pour (MP) soapThe most important thing is the dyes are toxic free, stain-free, vegan, cruelty-free, baby-friendly.I've been using these dyes for making homemade candles, soaps and bath bombs with great success. It only takes a few drops to change the colour of your product. You can use this for making cakes and other food products and the taste is of the fruit/veg of the colour. With the large variety of different colours, it's the perfect colour dye package.I will be buying again but will look for larger bottles as the bottle size is 6ml which is 0.25 oz.
