From 50% away from the sharp centre the view becomes quickly very blurred indeed. Both left and right occulars are the same, so it wasn't a fault with one or the other of them. The blurring was so bad it made me feel nauseous - actually physically sick! this has never happened with any other binocular I've used. The strap lugs are sharp, hard, and dig into you hands - worse than any other binocular I own or have tried. The eye-cups retract back too easily. With all these faults I can't then forgive their weight. The very blurred view though just makes these binoculars a non-starter, not sure how they ever got into production. Totally put me off ever buying Hawke products again, and I wanted to as they are designed near me in the UK. Avoid.

Excellent bins for the money. Well built although on the heavy side. Caps could stay in a little tighter but over all build quality is top drawer. Clarity and brightness is amazing. Looking at things even in the foreground shows more clarity than with the naked eye. The ED are only a little better than the HD, but whether they are worth the extra money is subject to debate. It’s always the case the further up the quality tree you go; the extra premium cost exponentially increases for the smallest of improvements in quality. Highly recommended.
