Very Happy with this Roav product!
The media could not be loaded. Roav’s DashCam Duo is a great camera.I installed it recently and I am loving it.This device has a camera that points forward, catching the vehicles and everything that’s in front of you. This device also has a camera that records the interior of your vehicle. This device also records all of the audio that is inside of the vehicle. Both of the cameras use a Sony sensor to record the video, which results in a very high quality image that captures a lot of detail.I am disappointed with the size of the display screen, as I was hoping it would be considerably bigger (but the size of the entire device is small and compact, which is great for not obstructing your view out the window). Both cameras can be set to record in 720P or 1080P.I have installed a 64GB micro memory chip, and that holds plenty of video for me, many hours.I am happy that it does have night vision for the interior camera, but the amount of IR light emitted could be bigger, so as to see a wider area inside the vehicle (it appears that about half of the cameras field-of-view is not illuminated by the IR lights). The display can be set to always on (which I must have to help prevent my Uber passengers from acting unruly), but it does a picture-in-picture function where the front camera image is displayed over the cabin image, and that cuts off or blocks the passenger’s head in the display. It should be set so that the driver’s head is cut off (this is only a problem in countries like the U.S. where the steering wheel is on the left side of the car) or it should be adjustable in the settings, as to where you want the PIP to be.You can set the internal GPS function on, and set it to MPH or KPH, and the unit will display a time-stamp with your current speed, imprinted on the final videos. When I unboxed and started testing the unit when I first got it, the unit seemed to be defective. I played with it a little more, but it seemed that the front-facing camera was not working, it produced a black video. After reviewing the video in my computer, I realized that it was recording video and audio. After examining the unit closer, I discovered a black tape that was over the lens of only the front camera, not the interior facing camera. I hadn’t noticed that tape. After taking the tape off, the camera works flawlessly, of course. However, the audio could be a little better.

Great Dash Cam, Great Price
Hi there I gave this camera an overall 5 stars based on the price point and function when compared with other dash cams in the same price range. Here is my review of the product, first you can never go wrong with an Anker Product which has outstanding customer service. I own many Anker brand products and love them for their function and price. This dual dash cam features both front and rear facing cams.Front facing cam records 1080p at 30 fps. Which I think is standard. It can be adjusted up and down and swivel 180 degree. I would of preferred 4K resolution at 60fps. But even at those high resolution you will not be able to clearly see cars speeding by. I mean you can see the cars but you wouldn’t be able to make out license plates or small details. The front cam specs are sufficient at day time and you can make out make, model, color and plates (directly in front of you) at roughly 3 cars away from you anything beyond that you will not make out plate numbers. At night time you will see most cars and their lights. It will be harder to see make, model, color and I was able to make out plates at around 1 car away or less anything beyond that no.Rear facing cams records at 720p and can adjust 100 degree up and down independently of the cam. Interior is good enough to record if you are ride sharing and the field of view is good to the front passengers and minimal view of the rear passengers based on placement. My only gripe here is I wish field of view included beyond the front driver and passenger windows so when your pulled over you can record the interaction of being pulled over by an officer. You can manually swivel the cam to the field of view but I’m sure many will forget. At night time it’s passable. But rear passengers are barely viewable.Extra information:The camera only records both from front and inside(rear) at the same time and not independently. Not to also mention it records sounds as well (which can be turned off). While this camera does not support WiFi the sdcard is easily accessible to get and can be used on a computer with the included sd card adapter if need be. The time and gps location meta data can only be viewed using the proprietary Anker software obtained on their site (free).Included is 2 dash mounts mounted by 3M tape which I didn’t used. I ended up contacting Anker for a suction mount which they offered to me free with proof of purchase. You can purchase the hardwired kit from them via Amazon. I’ve used it and see no problem with battery drain. I’ve checked with my voltage meter during my tests. I didn’t notice any decline in power, but I do use my vehicle everyday. It is said that it has a built sensor to turn off if power drops to a certain threshold. I can comment on that since it’s always recording. My guess everyone will have different experiences and the individual settings on the cam will affect those experiences. Only downside to the hardwired kit that connects to the OBD port is that if you have an adapter for safe driver insurance plugged in you wouldn’t be ableto use that. (Maybe get dual adapter?).Other than that it’s a decent camera for the price and customer service is top. Fast response within 48 hrs.The only things i wish it had was maybe software updates to the Unit itself and when I’m parking mode. When you get to your car it would be nice to see an alert status on the screen. Instead of having to go view and check.
