Each individual hyphenate of that description sounds baller as a standalone, but all together they form a Voltron of alpha male (or female) descriptors that point to you being as much about personal safety as you are about speed; hot, nasty, responsible speed.While some may decry the use of helmets and gear as being ineffectual when you're going 85+ sitting otherwise exposed atop an exploding rocket while Mad Max - Fury of 495 Rush Hour (DMV resident here) plays out around you, I disagree.Much like the girl that dashes out of her illegally parked 2003 Jetta into Sephora in the middle of a rainstorm with only a grocery bag held above her head to shield her hair from the rain, it's important to let casual observers know you still care just enough that they shouldn't worry that you've got nothing left to lose.Also, gotta protect the moneymaker. A fully body cast is only attractive if your face is still 100%.As far as safety goes, Shoei is the top of the line and this specific model (RF-1200) comes highly recommended from dozens of other attractive, safety-minded internet strangers on Amazon and Reddit.Like Thanksgiving dinner it fits snugly yet comfortably, the pin-lock anti-fog visor does exactly as advertised, and the vents and design keep your head cool even as you yell obscenities at Honda Odyssey wielding NoVa soccer moms veering into your lane because they're busy playing Candy Crush on their way to wine and paint at 2PM on a Tuesday.Purchased on Amazon in February 2018 for $500+ and was used sparingly for long distance hauls - I use a half-shell helmet and aviators for my city riding because nothing bad ever happens at 20-30mph.Almost sold it a couple months back because I sold my motorcycle recently and wearing the helmet while frying oil splashy eggs comes close but ultimately doesn't match the thrill of the speed and solitude of the open road.So while the amateur motorcycle helmet connoisseur may buy a helmet to ride their hog, I’m going to be looking for a motorcycle that matches this helmet.

Excellent helmet with great construction and attention to detail. I ordered a Medium based on other reviews and having a 58 measurement, it fit perfectly out of the box for my oval head shape. Wearing on the bike I found it to be reasonably quiet and flow good air, but not as much as my Arai XD-4. I also like the emergency easy remove pads feature, but hope they never need to be used! Came with lots of excellent accessories standard: snap in breath guard, pin lock shield, and even a chin curtain. All in all, I really like everything about this helmet and I’m very pleased with the performance.

After unsuccessfully trying numerous full face long oval and intermediate oval helmets I was about to give up. I watched a video on the quality construction of the Shoei helmet. I order a XL ,61CM, and there was no forehead redline! The multi layer softer inside shell of the Shoei form fits your head! The weight is light with excellent eyesight. The exterior shell size is much smaller than most of the competitors like AGV. The Shoei is more expensive than LS2 and other makes but the interior shell quality makes it worth the cost. I never owned a full face helmet so it does take some getting use to. I would recommend this Shoei helmet!

Great fit, cuts road noise and has great air flow adjustments.

Admittedly, I don't have anything to compare it to. I bought my first motorcycle, and this helmet was highly recommended by my 34yo nephew who's ridden for nearly 20 years. I added a Sena SMH10R bluetooth headset to it and everything fit perfectly. There were speaker placeholders just the right size and (of course) location. The helmet is a little lighter than the less expensive models, and there seems to be a decent amount of airflow given the five vents you have at your disposal to open/close.The only complain I have, is relatively minor and probably applies to all helmets is it fogging up when it's cold outside. It actually came with an anti-fog visor shield that attaches to the inside of the visor. It definitely negates the fogging issue, but does impact clarity some. Not so much so that you can't drive in low light conditions or anything, but you do know it's there....things just aren't as clear with it attached.All in all, I can definitely recommend it if you're in the market for a higher end helmet and have the money to spend.

So far so good, this is my second Shoei helmet and so far it has not disappointed.This came with a pinlock, anti Fog visor as well, nice bonus.

Coming from a Scorpion EXO-1100, this helmet was a marked improvement in all aspects. With the redesigned shape, the helmet no longer makes me look like a player out of NBA jam. The pinlock shield is fantastic for fog-free rides, and the included pinlock lens is a great added bonus. Fit and finish is typical Shoei, with everything giving a satisfying click. The included breath guard and chin guard round out the package and show why this is a premium helmet. The matte black finish, though prone to fingerprints, is beautiful. Padding on the inside is supremely comfortable. Fortunately, I have not yet experienced whether the helmet will withstand a strong impact, however, I am confident in its ability to protect my brain. I highly recommend the redesigned and improved Shoei RF-1200.

4 out of 5 because haven't had long.Only time will tell if its worth the price.Seems to be made well and fit well.comes with some extras which is always good.Breathe deflector included plus chin curtain.Quick shield change system is nice also love the matte black.Can use transitional shield on it is a plus.Only time will tell if it becomes one of my favorite helmets or not
