Harnds Assassin CK9171 Folding Knife with Ceramic Ball Bearing Pivot System Pocket Knife with Sandvik Steel Blade G10 Handle

I bought this knife simply for the ceramic ball bearings and the decent price. Wow was I surprised! The fit and finish is top notch!The liners are nicely skeletonized with no sharp edges on the inside. The lockbar is nicely smoothed and beveled for your thumb. The detent pressure is set to near perfection and the action is just amazing. The lock up is tight with no play and it will drop shut from gravity alone once past the detent. The blade was perfectly centered as well. Even though the sandvik blade steel is considered a budget steel I find it can take a very nice edge and has very reasonable edge retention. I prefer it over the ubiquitous 9cr or 8cr Chinese steels.The blade shape is very useable and a great slicer. You really can't go wrong with this knife. The only thing that some may view as a negative is the lack of a pocket clip but I feel it gives this knife a nice clean look.

THE FLAW, IF THERE IS ONE, IS IN THE PEOPLE WHO THINK THIS EXQUISITE KNIFE NEEDS A CLIP OR IF SOMEONE WOULD THINK THAT IT NEEDS A CLIP . A CLIP ON THIS KNIFE , WOULD SO OFF BALANCE IT AND TAKE AWAY FROM ITS CLEAN LINES , BEAUTY AND SOME OF ITS USEFULNESS .THIS KNIFE OPENS AS WELL AS THE "PAUL KNIFE " IN MY COLLECTION THAT COST OVER TEN TIMES AS MUCH .IF YOU CHOS AND BUY THIS KNIFE, YOU WILL HAVE CHOSEN ANF BOUGHT VERY WELL , INDEED !!!

It's a clean and beautiful looking knife. The opening mechanism is very solid so it won't be accidentally opening in your pocket and the ceramic ball bearing makes the knife's opening and closing extremely smooth. My knife came in sharp and in great condition 5/5 Would definitely buy again!

Good knife would have been a 5 star but no clip

This knife is incredibly ergonomic and a great slicer. The lack of a pocket clip only adds a touch of class to this beautiful and useful knife. The D2 steel blade comes out of the box sharper than a scalpel and the action when opening this knife is as smooth as butter. There is nothing to dislike about this knife to top it off, the company listened to their customers and added a new version of the knife with a recessed pocket clip. Perfection!

Love the size and extremely sharp

There's no pocket clip, but for a Gentleman's Blade, that's appropriate. I have many knives from multiple manufacturers, and this is my first Harnds. If their other blades match this one, they are a company to watch.

Very sharp. Handle texture provides good grip. The ceramic bearing is very smooth and is the feature that stands out. The blade flips open smoothly and the knife is very solid and stiff when locked open. Just the right amount of spring tension holding the blade closed so it doesn’t open in pocket, but bounces open if you flip it shut aggressively. Shape slides in and out of dress slacks easily and is an elegant shape for carrying at work, church, and more formal settings where you don’t want a flashy or intimidating look. The product shipped immediately and was delivered in 2 days, nicely protected in a small box and bubble padded envelope.
