HIVIZSR22 InteFront Sight for Ruger SR22

Don't know why is took me a decade to finally put a fiber sight on my .22. good price, great visibility, choice on color of fiber, as I prefer the green over red.

Works well. Difficult to put on but overwhelming. Really easy to see in low light conditions.

Perfect fit for my SR-22. Note that the SR-22 dovetail does not have screw holes, even though this front sight has two small mounting screws. Tightening the sight screws is optional in my opinion, and I chose to use blue loctite under the entire sight and not tighten the screws. I don't want the screws to push the sight up in the dovetail, which they will do, since they are pushing against the bottom of the dovetail groove rather than going into screw holes. No issues with sight movement so far.

Easy enough to install, don't remove the screws if you have big mitts or bad eyes. I put a magnet on top of it and it stuck, sooo.. not plastic. I easily switched the light pipes and the green seemed to gather the most light. The white pipe is a solid white, not a fiber optic. I did lose the red pipe after about 50 rounds, it just must've liked the range floor better. I wish it came with more replacements. Hope I can figure a way to keep the green one in place. Not perfect, but the stock sight was awful.

I really must say it is stupid bright in the daylight. Almost like a Green dit sight it is soooo in your face green dotish.

This was for my wife's SR 22 pistol. She's a good shot and knows her way around guns, mostly rifles, but she had issues with the factory white dot. Didn't take long to install and she's very pleased with the green HV.You can get it in red as well but I, and her, pick up the green better.I'd buy again

The HiViz green front sight contrasts and stands out nicely with my orange rear sights. I didn't have the tools to install it myself, so I took it to a gunsmith. He had a difficult time removing my original front sight and almost as difficult time installing the new HiViz front sight on my Ruger SR22. It fit very tight, which is much preferred over being too loose. Overall, I think it presents a better sight picture than the original front sights. I know the review asked about accuracy. It's going to be as accurate as my ability to aim and shoot.

I didn't like the small plastic front sight that was on the Ruger SR22, and thought the angular look of the Hiviz sight complimented the style of the pistol better, improving the looks. I like that the sight came with a green, red and white insert, so you can easily make it a white dot sight for lower light use where the red/green fiber optics sometimes don't shine as well. Outside, the green insert that it came with in it shines nice and bright, and it also worked well inside with interior lights.I had read other reviews saying the sight slipped right in to the Ruger dovetail easily, but mine did not. I had to tap it on the table to work in in far enough to make it fit in to my sight pusher, and then I was able to slowly move it to get it dead center. It fit very well and was tight, and though I doubt it will go anywhere, I added a drop in each set screw hole of blue Loctite and put the set screws in and tightened it down.The sight is all metal (with plastic inserts) and the product card says to treat it like any blued metal part and keep it lubricated. I have Hiviz front and rear sights on a S&W 9mm and have't had any rust issues with them.

I just purchased this and it is missing the 2 set screws that hold the site in place so in other words the product is useless without these parts.
