A Good, Affordable Replacement Battery
I knew I needed a replacement battery for my 2010 15" MacBook Pro because the trackpad was becoming more and more difficult to operate. When batteries age, they can swell and expand and press up against the underside of the trackpad. The last time this happened I spent about $150 to have a repair service replace it and the tech explained that trackpad issues are often a sign the battery needs to be replaced.Since this computer is old but still works well, I wanted to replace it myself and save money, since it really isn't worth much anymore. I researched several different batteries, and found many cost as much as $100. So I decided I'd look for something more mid-priced, read a lot of reviews, and found this Egoway battery. A couple other brands were lower priced than this Egoway A1321, but frankly I was nervous about putting a super cheap battery in my computer in case it failed or worse - leaked. This battery arrived quickly and they thoughtfully included a set of three computer screwdrivers designed for the task. installing it took only about 15 minutes. My only slight issue is that they didn't include much in the way of instructions, though I found them quickly on YouTube. The steps are:Shut down your computer.Remove the case screws.Lift the back off.Remove the three screws that hold the battery in place (the one on the top left may be under a sticker on the original battery).Disconnect the ribbon cable that attaches the old battery to the computer.Remove the old battery, and replace it with the new one and reverse the previous steps.Since my hands are large the only slight challenge was reattaching the ribbon cable. (make sure there is no gap between the cable and the connector or the battery may not work.)After installing the battery my computer powered up showing a 57% charge. You will need to "Power Cycle" the battery which means to FULLY charge then FULLY discharge the battery a couple of times. You can find instructions on that process on YouTube as well. So far, this battery is working perfectly and my trackpad is operating normally again. I think this Egoway battery was a good choice and saved me at least $30 on other models or even more on having it serviced professionally. I'd buy one again from this company should it ever fail.

Exactly what I needed...
My Mid-2010 MacBook Pro’s battery had about 950 cycles on it and was at about 70% its original capacity (actually very impressed how long it lasted), but it was clear that it was time for a new battery for my old Mac, I don’t use it on battery power too often, but I was afraid the old battery would start to swell being plugged in most of the time. This seemed like a good deal and had good reviews, and to my surprise, advertised 300mAh more than my OEM battery originally came with. It was easy to install with the included tools, and after I performed a calibration, I am happy to say it’s putting out more mAhs than advertised... 470 more than the OEM battery to be exact. The battery stayed cool temperature wise during the discharge and charging cycles, I was actually very surprised at HOW cold it stayed. It’s actually lowered the overall temperature that the laptop runs at by a few degrees Celsius, which I’m sure my processor and graphics card are thankful for. Great battery, even better than advertised. I’ll update is anything changes. 👍🏻

Overall generally pleased with the install and two days I've used my mid-2010 MacBook Pro so far
ADDENDUM: I've now used this battery for approximately two months, and so figured I would add an update to my review.During the month of November, I participated in Nanowrimo, which is National Novel Writing Month, where a person attempts to write a 50k first draft of a novel in 30 days. That meant I was using my laptop for a good couple of hours every day, for a month straight. While on battery power, I had no issues whatsoever. I would be streaming music from AccuRadio, running Scirvener (my witing software of choice) and then generally running one or two browser windows in case I needed to check email or do a quick bit of research.so far I'm getting 5+ hours on a charge. More if I'm not taxing the system with lots of applications running. The battery gauge gets down to 2-3% regularly without shutting off, if I let it. Power report still shows full capacity as when purchased.Overall, I'm a happy camper and would definitely recommend this replacement to anybody whose trying to breath more life into their older MacBook Pro. Still not going to give it that fifth star though, because of the difficulties I mentioned in the original review, which is below.-----------------------------------------------------------This review is being written primarily based upon the installation process and two days worth of usage. It may very well be changed down the road once I've used the laptop more. The battery is installed in a mid-2010 15" MacBook Pro model. The installation process was straightforward, though I highly recommend people check out the instructional videos from iFixit or MacSales. They get rid of any doubt that you might have on what to do.Battery comes with a set of three screwdrivers. All of them are red handles with NO markings telling you which one was which head, and the black metal doesn't make it any easier to tell them apart. I guess since this battery will go in multiple models, they need to include all three. But, it might've been better had they been different colored handles, and their instructional sheet indicated which one was which head. The metal quality on the screwdriver is on the cheap side. Taking the OEM battery out was easy. But, putting it back in was another thing. The head on the tri-blade driver got munged up a bit, and after another use will probably hit the trash can.The battery itself was a bit of a tight fit. At first, only the left side fit into the compartment easily The rest of the battery didn't go in until I applied more pressure than I should have. I had nearly decided to return it before it finally popped into place. (Should this battery ever swell, I'm not sure my logic board will be happy. But, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it).The screw on the far left went in like a glove. But, I had problems with the middle and far right screws. It looks like those holes are off by a teeny bit, so the screws are going in at a slight angle, meaning the heads won't fit flush to the battery plastic like the originals did. Since there's enough room under the bottom case in the MBP I decided to tighten them down as best I could, and then close the case over the top of them. It's not like I'm going to see what they look like anyways. Someone else made a comment about the screw holes not lining up so this must be a common occurrence. I just got lucky that mine were close enough.Next I did two cycles of conditioning. Both say full charge is 7305mAh. First cycle said 1 cycle (how often to you see that?!?). But, the second conditioning cycle says it is the third cycle. (not sure where the second cycle went to).Yesterday I ran it off battery power for a few hours, put it to sleep, and then watched a couple of hours of YouTube videos before the battery was drained. Battery indicator got all the way down to 1%, and then it took another minute, or so, before it finally went to sleep.Overall I'm pleased. Wished the installation wouldn't have had that hiccup popping it in place, nor the screw alignment. But, it was worth the $40 I saved off buying the battery from MacSales. One odd thing to note. The warranty on the Amazon item site says it comes with an 18 month warranty. However, if you go to the Egoway website, it says it is only 12 months. I haven't received an answer back from Egoway on which is accurate. But, since most all other batteries are 12 months, it's not like it'll be shorter than normal.

Good battery life
Mine came at slightly over 80wh(against stated 77.8 whebefore) with one power cycle recorded in the battery. Used to revive a Macbook Pro 2009 and clocked nearly 6 hours with light usage. Happy with the purchase

Battery exploded after 4 years
Battery came apart in my computer causing case to expand. Bad product. Would like a refund if possible.
