Feel good and solid. I have to trust they will work on my hitch. Lock works smooth. Protective cap is tiny, not sure how long it will hold out. Bought 2 spare keys from their website. Very fast service there. My last hitch pin rusted in about a month, these say stainless.... Time will tell.

If you have a shiny new Rapid Hitch, you may want to protect your investment with a nice locking system. I especially like these locks for a number of reasons. First of all, I prefer stainless steel over it's chrome finished counterparts any day of the week. For outside use, it's much more rust resistant and for the same price, it's a non-brainer. Secondly, I like the fact that these locks are "keyed" rather than using the far less secure round, cylinder style locks. As many unfortunate bicycle owners have discovered, the cylinder locks are easily pickable with the butt end of a cheap ball point pen (google "picking a Kryptonite lock with a Bic pen"). I also love the rubber caps over the lock entrance to keep rain out. However, the rubber caps don't fit as tightly as I would have liked. Finally, I like that when you insert the lock end onto the shaft, it clicks into the locked position automatically so that you don't even have to turn the key. That way you know it's locked without having to mess with it. Nice when you are reaching down on the hitch. Highly recommended for the Rapid Hitch system over the chrome version.

Easy to use but the lock could be more secure. Always feels like it not fully locked on with too much play.

I drank a few beers and went out and swapped my old pins with these new ones. When I was finished, I went back in my house and poured another beer. I think the new pins will work just fine but I know the key will stop working at some point because this is my third set of pins in 5 years. When these ones fail I'll place another order, drink a few beers and install the new ones. I will relax with another beer when I am finished. I do not drink beer before or after towing. YMMV.
