It was great to find these bulbs on line because I have the original tensor hi-intensity light and the bulb burned out and I could not find them in the stores so I searched on line.

Unfortunately, all #93 bulbs are not the same. Their specifications in Watts, Amps, and Operating Voltages vary quite a bit. My application is an older, small frame, high intensity lamp with high and low settings. When I tried replacing the original bulb, I found the base unit that houses the electronics was over heating and emitting a burning smell. Upon further investigation, the correct specifications for this high intensity lamp's bulb were found. Now the search for the correct bulb began. I found a few at $5 to $7.50 each, then this one at Amazon for a dollar each. So I bought 3 of them plus Shipping for a total of $5.70. The specs are: 13.31 Watts, 1.04 Amps, and 12.80 Volts. What you would envision as a simple task turned out to be quite complex and frustrating at times. I am glad it is over. My lamp functions properly and I have two additional spare bulbs.

I was shocked! What a product! It looks, acts, and tastes exactly like a light bulb and it fit into my odd little desk lamp that I am certain brought you to this review and, I'm here to tell you, it works great in it. I can also remove it from my little desk lamp and use it as a reverse light in a '67 Mustang. Strange but true.These bulbs are commonly available in your well-stocked auto parts store, but if you want to pay a little more and not have any idea about the intricacies of bulb nomenclature buy this one and put it in your special little lamp. I did, and I don't regret it.

It is intent for reading but I cannot give it the highest mark. The light is lesser than I thought, even at the highest selection.

Great replacement for a very old tensor lamp. The old lamp bulb fortunately had printed on the base that it was 12W 12V, so this is exactly what the doctor ordered. This tensor has only one on/off switch, not two settings. I would suggest this bulb if you are in doubt as to the exact replacement for a tensor lamp, since it it rated at 12W and would be unlikely to damage your lamp, no matter what the rated wattage.

I received a bicycle tube instead of the bulb. I understand these things happen, would have been nice to get a Rolex or something though. I now have to purchase a bike I guess.

I ordered five of these bulbs on a Sunday and they arrived on Wednesday. Great service. The bulbs all work fine in my 1960's era Tensor desk lamp. It's cheaper to buy bulbs than a new lamp that really isn't as good as the one I have.If you can't find these bulbs, an automotive bulb number 1003 works very well, but doesn't last as long. Those bulbs are also getting hard to find.
