SOLOSHOT2 Sony CX405 Camcorder Bundle

This allowed me to capture fluid and smooth camera movement with which I could create a nice slow motion effect. I can't wait to get multiple units, for different angles and zoom levels.

The one time I got this to work it was great, however I had to send it back due to its lack of ease in use. I ordered this because I am a professional photographer and when I take pictures at my 3 year old son's sporting events, I wanted video too. I thought this was the solution for me, but it is not. This product needs a large open space and about 20 min to set up each time it is used. When you are working with 3 year olds, these are two commodities that are not readily available. I can't speak to the usefulness of this product if you have tons of time to burn when setting up without distractions. In total I took it to three soccer games, a swim match and a baseball practice for my three year old. It did not work any of these times. It only worked the one time I spent 45 min setting it up while my wife watched my son. Then after I got it working I was able to film a game of tag with him. The video footage was great that one time it worked.

Great product. I don't yet understand all the functions but it does what it's advertised to do. It tracks and fallows your movements perfectly and also auto zooms.

The Soloshot 2 worked as advertised. Unfortunately, the camera paired with the bundle did not. Random shut offs while recording were frustrating. I would buy again if it was paired with a reliable camera. Purchasing separately puts the price range out of reach as you do get a good deal with the bundle.A smart company would allow a range of cameras to be included in the bundle. Current choice is so narrow (meaning one POS camera) that the business will suffer as I will not pay for a tag, base unit, camera controller, and a decent camera.Speaking of cameras. The camera controller only supports Canon and Sony camcorders. Unfortunately, Canon does not have the HD capabilities the Sony's have so you are stuck with cheap and unreliable Sony camcorders.Maybe the technology is too new. For me, I'm passing until Soloshot changes it's selection of camcorders.Now you may think this is harsh. It isn't. This is the 3rd Sony Camcorder that I've had issues with. I will NEVER buy a Sony again.

I found it difficult to set up. The directions didn't say anywhere to charge before using. I know, I should have assumed that, but just saying that should have been Step 1 in the Quick Start directions. Then the tag didn't charge at all which wasted a lot of my time thinking I was doing something wrong. I never got it working and decided to return it because I was afraid it wouldn't work in the covered arena anyways. It said outdoors only, but I didn't want to run out of time on the return so I didn't get a chance to check it out in the covered areas. It needed a clear view of the sky, so may not be what I need after all.

Words can't begin to describe this amazing system. I am having so much fun with it. It takes a little to get the instructions down and there are new things learned each time I use it. I am now working on new star tracking photography. Using my Nikon D3X and Nikon D7100 I am getting some incredible shots and videos.The Sony camcorder that came with my choice in packages was far beyond what I thought would be sent with it. Very happy with this and the system is forever improving as experience is gained.

Worst product.. it took me over an hour to set this up and base is not working properly. Battery life for these three products are all different which means one will be dead earlier than the rest make other two useless.Wireless band is too bulky and can't wear when sports that need a lot of physical contact with others such as basketball and soccer.Overall I wouldn't recommend this product.

It's hard to first set up but it is so fun when it's done so worth the money
