The media could not be loaded.  I love them!! They put off the perfect amount of light and they fit my 4x4 PVC fence perfectly. I would say I wish they had an off white option. Thanks to the TX sun, my white fence isn’t as white as if like it to be. I have ivy trellising so hopefully it won’t stand out too much!Also, I read the directions a dozen times and it didn’t say where the on/off switch was. So I uploaded a video to hopefully save someone else a few minutes finding the switch and how to get to it! Beware: it’s going to sound like you’re breaking it, you’re not! All 18 of mine made a horrible sound twisting them open.

I purchased these to go around our pool as the ones we had previously (another brand) rarely worked. Installation was as simple as removing the post cap and putting these in it's place. Just look at how gorgeous they are in the attached picture. The first day we put them on it was very cloudy so I didn't think they would light good, boy was I wrong. I love these and plan to purchase even more.

After one year 10 out of 12 of my lights are non functional. Some will blame living in Pittsburgh and our lack of sun. However it has to do more than with that. Very unfortunate that a $100 set of lights will need to be replaced after a year. They won’t be replaced with this set again.

I didn't give this a 5 star ONLY because the drill holes were not consistent with all 12. Some were drilled on the side of the solar panel, some were on the opposite sides. So if you are the type to have it all installed the same way, well... adjust. lol But other than that. These are copper "looking", but plastic material. Looks nice from afar. As long as no one goes up and inspects it closely, they look wonderful. Especially lit up at night. I like these for just the ambiance. These definitely don't hold a STRONG brightness to light pathways, but they illuminate to look pretty. For the price and the amount you receive. It's a great deal. Also my posts were just a bit smaller than 4x4’s but they still look fine on it.

UPDATE: As others mentioned the light housing (white area) discolors after installed/being outside for a while. They are still working but now look very ugly. I didn't expect high quality but to discolor in about 6 months of install is disappointing. I will look to replace these with the more expensive ones in the spring. Good cheap temporary option. With the additional discoloration on the black solar part I don't imagine it will work by springINITAL INSTALL: The lights work really well. Once I got the hang of the twist off I got a good rhythm installing them. My post are not consistent some were all vintl over the wood others more wood st the top then vinyl. I put the lights on used a drill bit to pre-deillfor easier install especially thru the vinyl post us wood and it was a breeze. I drilled all 9 post starter holes first then switched out the bit and screwed them all in. I had an akward corner and the bottom rail post where i had to screw from a different aide then the rest and just took the tops off and turned them so they got more sunlight.I only needed 9 of the 12 and they all worked. The white is not the exact shade of my Veranda rails but it works and looks great!I installed about an hour or two before nightfall and despite little sunlight time they were lit for hours which was great.It gives off a nice amount of light as well. I could see the light over 60 feet away from the front of the house to the back

The only issue we had was turning them on, you have to remove the cover, we figured out that if you give the cover a slight twist to the left or right, it helps to remove them. You will probably want to use better screws than the ones provided, we put our own screws in which have screw head covers, so it gave them a more finished look. They do work well and are bright.

This is definitely easy to install and works like a charm on good sunny days. Some of the batteries that these were shipped with were dead and would not charge (even with a wall charger). I ended up replacing all of the batteries with energizer rechargeables as the battery capacity on the original rechargeables was not that great either. Now, if I have a great day of sun for the majority of the day, these will stay on all night long. They are definitely a great addition to the rear deck, patio and stairs. Definitely will buy more in the future when the lights on these die out!

Instructions said that you must turn the on/off switch to on but did not indicate anywhere in the instructions where that switch was located. I finally took one apart and found it under the top cover. Note that the top cover is very difficult to remove. And I have to do this for 12 of them. Fits on a 4X4 post but with too much extra space.
