well made latch good finish and compact it is great to be able to adjust it . only 350 pounds of holding force so limited to non-automotive off road applications or light holding needs

Be warned! I received the item 323 instead of the 323rss. Which means no locking mechanism and not stainless. The are currently on their way back.

Very good but too expensive

I wish when you put up an item for sale that you would give a bit more detail about the size. I read the reviews and the questions about if this item would work for a Jeep spare tire carrier, after seeing all the answers that said yes, I purchased it. After receiving it, I found out that it is just a little small. I can hold it in my fist and cover it up completely. I guess it will work good for a "Barbie Jeep". But I seriously doubt that it will have the 2000lb breaking strength that the write up says it has. I was hoping for a good latch for a custom spare tire carrier that I am building. But I was very disappointed in the SIZE.

I bought these for my custom built utility trailer. I needed something to hold the back gate shut. These clamps are pretty small but are very strong. I love the locking mechanism as well as the ability to adjust clamping force. I used four clamps for my trailer. The picture shows one of them. To get an idea of the size, the aluminum piece it is mounted on is 1.5" wide by 4" long.

Broke after 3 weeks and already rusty dont buy

Good, but tiny.... Picture is deceiving how big (small) it is. Not sure what you would even attach this to.

Very very small way too much money
