The clothes washer works like new again.
It fit, the price was fair, and after several months since installed, it's working just fine. You'll need some patience and a helper to install, and may want to consider also buying the over-priced small gizmo tool sold by GE to assist installing it. However, you can avoid paying for that gizmo if you're even a wee bit mechanically inclined; just gather up a few washers, etc (after studying how the GE part works as seen in more than several YouTube videos), and you should be able to get the job done in a few minutes. hint: have a helper rotate the agitator from above, and using either the GE tool, or your homemade version, you should be able to slide the belt right into place. Also, before installing the new belt, make sure that you thoroughly clean off any bits of debris in the grooves in the pulleys left there from a deteriorating belt.

GE replacement belt
Very tight fit. Watch the video using the zip tie. Then easy install. The belt was a tad wider than my original. Make sure the grooves on the belt line up correctly with the motor and drum.

Calling it quits!? Try gloves and more zips!
The belt does the job. However, the belt is very tight (as other reviews mentioned) and seems near impossible to fit - even with the GE tool and zip tie.I followed the included instructions and watched the GE installation videos. But when you turn the pulley it gets very tight and requires you to "muscle" it towards your direction. The tub wants to move in the direction you're pulling and things will crack if force isn't applied in the opposite direction properly (such as placing your hand on the metal bracket securing the tub versus the plastic tub or thin bars).I read other reviews which offered good advice including the use of additional zip ties and heating the belt making it more pliable. What did it for me was the following:- IMPORTANT: Get a good pair of work gloves that have good grip and will protect your hands from cuts against the washer's metal. The gloves combined with the zip ties made the install possible and safe. This belt is tight and requires you to get a good grip on the washer's metal which is sharp around the drive pulley. For most of us without thick leather skin, it's either gloves or band-aids.- Place the belt on as instructed but instead of a single zip tie use 3 and place them a half inch apart from each other. Why 3 you ask? Because the times I used either 1 or 2 ties, they either snapped off or the belt slipped underneath the pulley as it forced the tie to rotate with it. After installing the ties, turn the wheel just before the breaking point (where the pulley doesn't want to budge and cranking further results in the belt slipping off or ties snapping). Add another zip tie on the same side you added the first set when you started. What I found at the breaking point is that either the zip tie snapped off or the belt would slip off where you initially started.I tried heating the belt with a heat gun which made some progress but didn't get me to the finish line. I only succeeded after I used a better pair of gloves than the ones I originally used combined with the additional zip ties. It seemed almost too easy at that point. Good luck!

Buy the rotating engine piece so the belt stays on while Installing!
The belt was extremely tight. I thought it was going to be impossible to fit. Please buy the install piece you put below the rotating motor! Even using zip ties almost didn’t cut it. We had to “magiver” it on some way. It is on now and my washer seems to be working fine. I’m wondering how long it will last. Will update after 30 days. Only thing I wasn’t happy with was paying $20 expediate shipping and not getting it within 2 days. That’s on amazon not the seller.

175D5131P003 Replacement
This does work but it’s tough to get on at least for me. First attempt failed as I just no way could believe it ever fit without some pre-stretching. Prior to 2nd attempt I hung a 20lb kettle ball from the belt for a couple of hours then I heated the belt in a 200 degree oven for 5 minutes and YES it went on but still had to use plenty effort on turning the pulley.

Not a suitable substitute.
The belt is not the same as the original factory belt. It is both shorter and wider. I was going to replace the belt since I had the washer apart for other reasons, but since this "replacement" belt was way too short, I reused the old, it wasn't causing problems anyway. I scheduled a return but didn't get a suitable box to ship it in until it was too late. After I cancelled the pending return to reschedule it, I was locked out of returning it due to return policy! Thanks for nothing Amazon!

Genuine GE Belt At Low Cost!
I bought this drive belt as a replacement part when replacing the mode shifter assembly on my 7-year-old GE profile washing machine. The part was a genuine GE replacement part in the original GE packaging. The cost was substantially lower than my local appliance parts store.Note that the item title indicates that this is a GE dryer belt. I found that this is also the correct belt for my GE washing machine. The mode shifter is an expensive part that requires nearly complete washer disassembly to replace. Since I was going to the trouble to completely replace the drive train on my washer, I decided to replace the belt at the same time. It took about 2 minutes to replace with the washer taken apart, and did not require any special belt installation tools.I was skeptical that I could buy appliance parts on Amazon, but this turned out to be a great experience. I got everything I needed to fix my washer, and saved at least $300 on my repair. Thank you Amazon.

Genuine GE product
GE products are tops quality wise. You do need an installer tool to install it which is more than $50 but it well worth it and cost much less than hiring a technician. Follow PartSelect Video for installation procedure.

High quality belt!
Belt goes on very tight, use strong zip ties when installing! (don't forget to remove when belt is in place) Takes 10 min to change. Has been on for a couple weeks, working like new.

Produit excellent, mais livraison très lente (plus de 5 jours)
Je ne m'explique pas pourquoi, étant abonné à prime, que ce délai ait été aussi long. Par contre, le produit est excellent.
