Firstly, the price is unbeatable and I feel the hose is made of good quality.Be aware, at least in my case, I measured both the outlet on my washer to be 1-1/4" and the original hose I had was 1-1/4" as well. When I opened this up, the first hose diameter is labeled 1-1/4" so I threw it on the washer, clamped it down, noticed a little bit of play so tightened the clamp all the way. I turned on the washer and in a couple of minutes had about 3 gallons of water on the floor. I removed the tube, cut it down to the next diameter that was indicated 1-1/8" and tried again. This time it fit perfectly. It's been on my washer for about a month with no issues. Do yourself a favor and measure the diameter of this hose manually and do not go by the labeled diameters.

Quality is kinda iffy especially at the point of connection BUT...I expected this and had a plan. This was for a GE washer with a drain hose that was only 4.5' long (seriously?) with a right angle connection. GE even makes an official hose extension for it but IT DOES NOT WORK. Whoever designed those items should be drawn and quartered. Anyway, I cut the old hose at an appropriate point to retain the right angle fitting to the washer, then applied silicone caulking to the cut end and inserted it into the new hose. There was no need to trim the new hose, the old one went all the way into the smallest of the three size options. Then I liberally applied more caulking at the rubber end of the new hose down into the gap between the new and old hose, completely sealing the connection between them. Finally I used three ring clamps, at each end and the middle of the joint, and let dry overnight. We've done a half dozen loads and no leaks. This hose worked perfectly for my situation but the trimmable, multi-size end is a definite weak point. It is simply too flimsy to last as a main connection point especially if there are any bends in it where the cheap material will get stressed and likely split as other reviewers have noted. But if you have a problem like mine and are minimally handy, it's perfect.

Impressed with price and durability

The hose end that attached to the drain hose on washer had several step downs allowing for the perfect fit. It also came with the ring clamp so I didn't need to buy one.

It works better than I expected it to

I got a new washing machine and upon delivery, was told that the hose that came with the washer was too short to reach the drain pipe. I ran out to the hardware store (twice) and tried to attach a drain hose with a clamp. It didn't work. Water all over the basement floor. I decided to try Amazon and went searching. Most drain hoses advertise that they will fit washers with certain size drain openings, but I just wanted an extension. It was hard for me to find one that said specifically would work as an extension. This one had one review where someone had used it for an extension, so I decided to try it. Perfect. No fuss, no muss. Within 5 minutes I had it attached and was able to do my laundry again. Very happy with this product.

I've bought about 6 hoses from home depot/lowes. They're the same exact one, made by the same company(basically the only option available). every 3 months after installing they would break at the same spot. I finally found this one on amazon and took a gamble on it. When I got it I could feel how more durable it felt compared to the old one I had. I cut the hose to the size required by my washing machine and clamped it down. No leaks what so ever, its almost been a year and no break either. Highly recommended.

I think I kind of lucked out in this one. The hose that came with my washer wasn’t long enough, so I bought this one. However the clamp wouldn’t tighten enough to where it would actually seal so it leaked all over the place. I jerry rigged it to my other shorter hose and it happened to be a very snug fit. The clamp at that point was helpful for adding additional pressure to keep them secured together. If you buy this I’d beware that it may not fit and/or the clamp won’t secure tightly enough to be leak proof.
