Premium for sure!
We have used two other carseats in this decade - the chicco keyfit 30 and an evenflo titan. The Maxi-Cosi Pria 70 is .. ugh. It's wonderful. It looks great. It feels extra premium. The fabric is good, shiny, resists pet hair and crumbs. It feels nice. Everything is cushioned. The strap covers don't get all disgusting with a little drool. This car seat is SO PREMIUM.I bought it because my baby got to be way too heavy to carry around in the keyfit and the evenflo titan is just a monstrosity that took up my entire car. This thing is pretty compact. I am able to not have the carseat touch the seats in front of it, and the seats are at the usual position. There are three recline range, and I'm in the -MOST- reclined one. My baby is incredibly comfortable.I do have a few nitpicking problems. I shouldn't have ordered it in black - it definitely can be warm if I park the wrong way and it gets exposed to sunlight. The button is also VERY hard to press. This will be great when the baby attempts to escape it, but I have arthritic hands and it can be difficult. The strap adjustment button is also very hard to press too. These are my ONLY complaints about this seat. Installation is a breeze, changing the headrest is a breeze. Obviously it looks great - so so so premium. And the cost is really good for an item with extra side impact protection!I'd definitely recommend this carseat to anyone looking for a good rearfacing car seat that will fit well in cars with oddly shaped or smaller backseats. For anyone who wants to make sure their baby is extra comfy in the car. And for anyone who admire good quality items for reasonable prices.

Waste of Money!
Wish I could return this thru Amazon but I am going to have to deal with Maxi-Cosi directly since we missed the return window alreayd. This car seat was delivered in the beginning of November and used for a secondary car that only transports the baby 3-4 times a week on a trip home from daycare or a quick trip to the store. We are not rough on stuff and have a mellow happy baby that doesn't mind car rides. My husband HATES this car seat! We had the UppaBaby Mesa for the infant stage then after a long exhaustive search I settled on the Peg-Perego Primo Viaggio Convertible for my daily use. We later decided that a second car seat would make life easier to keep in my hub's car but didn't want to spend as much (REGRET THAT DECISION!) The Peg-Perego is amazing we love it! The Peg-Perego easy to install, tighten and the straps never get bunched or tangled. The Maxi-Cosi is none of those things even tho they look similar. The Maxi-Cosi is a lot harder to install and always feels oddly top heavy/tippy even at it's best tightening. (I should note that we are both pretty strong and will sit in it to tighten down) The straps tangle frequently and are very difficult to tighten - it always feels like they aren't possibly tight enough on the baby. Well after 4 months of secondary (occasional) use the straps are already frayed and torn much like the other user's photo but a bit worse. You have to look under it to find it tho which is why we possibly didn't find it sooner. We bought a new truck for my husband and in the process of transferring the seat noticed it's fraying and breakage. It doesn't feel even safe to use for the baby so it will sit until we can either get a replacement or buy another Peg-Perego! TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY, kicking ourselves because we should have just forked over a few extra bucks and gone with quality.

Loathe and regret
Our primary car has the Nuna Rava. Our son was using the Nuna Pipa for his infant seat. But for our secondary, commuter car, we didn’t want to fork out another $500+ so after research I settled on this. Honestly, it’s the worst baby gear we have.PROS;Looks nice, neutral grayLooks comfortable for sonCONS:I’m not sure who hates it more, me or my husband. But we fight over our cars on work days because neither wants to deal with this car seat.Buckel is too short like others have noted. You have to dig it out, and stretch it.Install is a nightmare compared to Nuna.Straps/harness nightmare compared to Nuna. These are two different price point seats but man I wish I had spent the extra cash and just got something seamless.Skip this car seat. It’s really crappy.

We love this seat
We love this seat. It is wide and very comfortable. My son falls asleep in his chair within the first 5 minutes in the car. I would have liked a second cup/snack holder on the other side, but it's just a convenience preference. I do have one problem with this particular model: for now I'm using it as a rear-facing seat and I have an older car, which doesn't have the child designated hooks to clip into, so I loop the backseat seat belt through the seat and secure it so. No problems there. However, I needed to move this seat into my parent's car, which is a 2014 Honda CRV, which does have the designated clips to clip the child seat into and it seemed that the strap of the seat is not long enough, it is several inches too short to secure the clips on both sides (when in rear-facing mode). I compared this pria 70 with my pria 85 and this strap is a lot shorter and doesn't give you the option to extend it. For example, in the pria 85, the belt is very long, so you can comfortably snap both clips and pull the end until its tight, securing the entire seat. In the pria 70 model, the belt does not have the option to give slack and therefore is impossible to clip in. I will stop by a local Buy Buy Baby this weekend to see if their version has the same issue, or whether it is just this particular seat sold through this seller on Amazon.
